Welcome to the 420 Magazine's Photo of the Month Contest!

We want to showcase and celebrate the very best photographs of our beloved plant, Cannabis. Unlike our Plant and Nug of the Month contests, this Photo of the Month Contest is all about the quality of an individual photo. It will be judged on composition, lighting, originality and general quality.

Your entry must be one, and only one, photo. Entries with more than one photo will be deleted. The photograph may be of a plant or plants, part of a plant (e.g. a cola, a bud, even roots!), a nug or nugs, a seed or seeds or Cannabis extracts. It must be an original photograph that you have taken.

The contest will be open for submissions from the first until the last day of the month. Winners will be decided by the 420 Moderation Team and announced in-thread.

1st Place Prize: "420 Photo of the Month" title, Medium 420 Magazine Nug Jar, Bic 420 Magazine Lighter, 420 Magazine Magnet & 420 Mag Stickers

With so many contests and even more winners, we unfortunately don't have the time and resources to offer organizing the 'gifting' of prizes anymore. Due to the nature of numerous, confusing logistics involved, delivery times get pushed back weeks waiting for everyone to reply with contact information, which causes delays in getting prizes to everyone. This causes a massive drain on our resources when everyone starts asking where their prizes are and why it's taking so long, some have even gone as far as to complain in public about us being lazy stoners, which couldn't be further from the truth. Mistakes in translations have also occurred, wasting valuable time, energy & shipping costs. Obviously you may pass prizes on yourself, and you are more than welcome to contact the sponsor yourself with a 'gifting' request.

Contest Guidelines:

1. The contest is open to members with 50 or more posts.

2. Contest entries must be your own original photo. One photo only per member.

3. Entries must include ONLY photos of the plant(s) and/or nugs(s) and/or cola(s). No nudity or alcohol.

4. Updating or adding photos throughout the month is prohibited and will result in all the submissions being disqualified.

5. Remember to upload your photograph through our Photo Gallery before posting them on this thread: Photo Gallery Guide - How to Resize, Upload & Post Photos

6. Editing Photos: Please do not add text, images, or special effects, otherwise your submission will be disqualified. This makes it a fair contest for all, as not everyone can afford photo editing programs and/or know how to use them. Color correction and cropping are acceptable parts of creating a digital photograph, however we do not allow obvious image enhancement or manipulation.

7. A photo cannot also be entered in any of our other contests in the same month.

8. The first place winner is ineligible for entry for the following three months.

9. Staff members from this or any other cannabis forum/community and/or 420 Magazine sponsors are not permitted to enter our contests.

By posting a submission into this contest, it is assumed that you have read and agree to abide by each of the aforementioned guidelines. Consider your submission your "virtual signature".

New Contest Sponsor - PerfectPipe

We are delighted to announce that new sponsor, PerfectPipe, is now supporting our Plant, Photo and Nug of the Month contests. They are giving away a Two Pipe Travel Kit to each winner.

:thanks: PerfectPipe!

Please, everyone, do pay it back by having a look at it on their website - PerfectPipe. Without sponsors like them, 420 Magazine would not be here.

Here's what PerfectPipe say:

"Do you want to stop burning your throat and inhaling sparks? Do you want to stop coughing and inhaling of ash? How about getting increased extraction and smoking less?

The PerfectPipe does all that and more. It eliminates burning particulates entering the lungs, reduces heat and ash tremendously. It also increases desired elements so that you intake less smoke into the lungs and use less herb.
"

And that all seems absolutely true. @Mr. Krip gave it a tip-top review here - The PerfectPipe: 420 Magazine Review By Mr. Krip

Thank you @PerfectPipe. We are truly grateful.

P.S. If you win this, do share your experience with it in Product Reviews. :thanks:

Excellent pics so far everyone. This month I'd like to enter a pic of my buddy again but taken with a better camera this time. This thing is awesome and strangely aggressive for such a small spider. She is very good at catching small flies and I haven't seen any fungus gnats for weeks. I've normally got a few of these hanging around but this one keeps eating the competition....at least I think that's what is happening. I'm not David Attenborough lol....

Looks almost like a recluse - the violin in its back , do you know what kinda spider it is and is she in your tent ? Or outdoors
She's a female European nursery web spider or a Pisaura Mirabilis if you like Latin. She's living in my tent and seems to prefere hunting on the Gorilla Zkittles over the Orange Sherbert. I thought they were a type of wolf spider when I first saw them but I've since identified them using the web....lol

Not too much. This particular species makes a nursery web after they've mated to protect the young but hunt as a means of catching prey. I can't confirm wether this is true or not but they always seem to disappear shortly after flowering or at least they have in the last two grows which leads me to believe that they don't like something about the flowers. Like I said, I'm not sure about that last part. It could be humidity or temperature as the seasons change that drives them away. Thanks Irie
