Welcome to the step by step guide to the 420 Magazine Media Gallery.
Our Media Gallery allows you to upload images, videos, music files and embed media from other sites. we recommend using a Chrome browser on your home computer or Chrome (Desktop Version) on your mobile device for ease of use.
We use a media gallery for this forum to keep images and media organized and easy to access, while maintaining an archive for our readers to learn from. Our Posting Guidelines require all photos and media content to be uploaded to our gallery before being posted. This is because off-site links can be deleted or moved outside of our control, leaving 420 Magazine with dead links and an untidy forum. As well, our Gallery software removes exif data from photos for your security. The process is easy once you get the hang of it. First you upload the photo to the appropriate sub-gallery, and then you can view it directly or embed it in a thread. If you still need help, please feel free to send an email to support@420magazine.com.
Our photo gallery is only for Cannabis, Hemp and directly related images. Non-420 photos may only be uploaded to our "Off-Topic" photo gallery. Please note these photos must be appropriate and otherwise conform to our Posting Guildlines. Photos of people are discouraged for security reasons and photos of minors will be deleted without warning.
If a photograph is watermarked, in order to standardize and preserve the look of our website for many years to come, please place the watermark anywhere except the bottom right hand corner. This is where the 420 Magazine watermark will appear on uploading which will therefore mask any other image.
RESIZING PHOTOS
To start off, you need to make sure your pictures are the correct format. Our gallery accepts jpg, jpeg, gif, jpe, png image formats.
Photo size must not exceed 20MB.
If your photos are larger than 20MB:
Adobe Photoshop, Apple Photos, Gimp, InfanView and Microsoft Photo Editor can resize your photos.
If you don’t have any of these programs, here are some links to free online photo resizing tools:

UPLOADING PHOTOS
Click on the Gallery button from the menu that can be found at the top of any 420 Magazine page.
When the drop down menu opens, click on the “Your Media” button.
The “Your Media” window allows you to view the media you have uploaded. Here you can upload new images or other media.
To upload an image, click the Add Media button.
This will open another window which prompts you to choose a Gallery for your file. By default, media is uploaded to the Member Galleries but putting images in the correct category will help with future searches. You may also create your own Gallery with specific access permissions.
Once you choose a location, a new window will open that lets you chose the type of media.
Use “Upload File” to add a media file from your device. Multiple files can be uploaded at one time. “Embed File” lets you link to a file that is already available in various formats compatible with our BBS software. e.g. Apple Music, Dailymotion, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube etc. Click the Save button when you are done.
Once the file is uploaded, go to your post and position the cursor where you want the photo and add the file with the camera button. You can move the text string in your post to position it the way you want.
If you have any problems try the process again carefully.
If you're still having trouble, please contact The 420 Staff for further assistance.
