A MAN will appear in a Sydney court today after cannabis worth $35,000 was found on a train travelling from Victoria to Queensland.
City Central detectives, transit police and State Rail staff began investigations after a tip-off to Crime Stoppers.
They spoke to a 28-year-old Queensland man at Sydney's Central Station about 3.30pm (AEST) yesterday.
A search of the man's luggage allegedly uncovered bags containing more than 3kg of dried cannabis leaf, with an estimated street value of $35,000.
Police are conducting further tests on the suitcase.
The man has been charged with the deemed supply of a prohibited drug and will appear in Central Local Court today
