Hello America and Canada (home of the best band in the universe: "RUSH" ^^)!

Here a little Fritz grow from across the ocean. I hope you enjoy your stay and will share your thoughts. This is my very first indoor grow and I took alot of time to prepare it... and pay!
Ive noticed that many US growers have a different "style" to the European ones. Maybe you find it interesting to have a glimpse into a German style grow. Iam always curious about new techniques and implemented molasses into my grow, which is a bit of a "religious war" between German growers. Some call it a natural organic additive, others call it "Brix" which has become the synnonym for the worst bud one could smoke (its considered to be like spraying the weed with horse tranquilizers and arsenic acid :D ).
I did some research and will use molasses in small doses only to improve the soil quality and will stop using it when the actual heavy budding begins.

Rest of the grow is typical european style (dutch/german/swiss/austrian-style).
So lets cut the chit chat and go to work, shall we?

Re: 30X Satori - A Journal From Germany - Fritz Grow

Ok heres the equipment:

- 1,44mX1,44mX2,0m Homebox Eastside Implex Berlin Germany Tent
- Adjust A Wing Avenger + Spreader
- 600W MH GIB Grow Bulb
- 600W Osram HPS Bloom Bulb
- 600W Sunmaster Digital Ballast
- 150m^3/500m^3 S+P Tubefan
- 350m^3/h Industrial Active Charcoal Can Filter

Pots:
40X4L (in wich the plants now currently are)
20X8L (in which sexed females will be repotted)

Soil:
Composana Quality Potting Soil (its like the Porsche-Mercedes Soil for Gardeners and many German pro growers like it way better than special grow shop soils... contra: its expensive as *beeeep*
This soil is mixed 25-75 with worm manure by Plagron.
Seedlings sprout in Cocos Tabs, get repotted in 4L after the roots poke thru the tabs.

Nutes:
Hesi Root Complex
Hesi Bloom Complex
Hesi Phosphor Complex
Hesi Super Vit
Canna pH-
BioBizz Top Max (will not be used or only very underdosed)
Misc. Organic S.Cane Molasses

Re: 30X Satori - A Journal From Germany - Timelapse week 1 - week4

@Growheart
:D Thx champ! Rush is really amazing. Iam a fan since 3rd grade ^^ back in the 80s. Saw them live 3 times. First time in 1992 when I was 12 ^^ first time I smelled pot with all the garrisoned US GIs in the audience :D Back in those days it smelled like caramel because the soldiers put sugar on the buds to cover the smell :D

@Hardope
Thx alot, Ill try to keep it interesting ^^

@Setting Sun
I have the "policy" to update pics only once a week to keep the journal somewhat interesting. I find it boring to watch plants in other grows on a daily basis as its often so hard to much difference inbetween just 2 or 3 days. With a week as visual gap between the updates its quite more impressive to witness the plants´enourmus vigor. Also I take the first pic of the plants always from the same position so I can put together a complete grow timelapse video out of just 14-16 pics showing the whole grow in 1 week steps.
I will still update the thread on nute scheds etc. every other day just without pics.

So I thank you all for watching. Have a good time here and drop any thoughts or comments.

That I forgot yesterday:
The difference between the normal sized 600W HPS and the "RPG9 warhead shaped" 600" MH.....

Re: 30X Satori - A Journal From Germany - Timelapse week 1 - week4

Thx champ!

You can say that roughly 20 out of 34 are very uniform and the rest either tends to a sativa pheno or indica pheno. Iam quite pleased with that, no troublemakers regarding growth pattern. Every day I water, the plants will get slightly rearranged to get the smallest in the middle and the biggies on the side.
Under the foilage there is the usual dieing of 2nd class foilage but that does not concern me. The plants havent sexed yet and I will have much more space for fewer plants soon. Iam still stunned by the side-shots growth, they are all exactly as high as the main stem, sometimes with stems almost as thick as the main one.

So far the Satori proofed to be:
- A1 in germination (33 plants out of 30 Seeds)
- Super easy as seedlings...
- not needing any nutes exept root complex, SuperVit and 3, 4 times of molasses
- incredibly vigorous in stem, leave and root growth

There was no sign of under/overfeeding yet. No spots no nothing. I just followed the growth instrucions on the Mandala Seeds - High Performance Cannabis Genetics site.

Great genetic! A1 all the way so far!

Re: 30X Satori - A Journal From Germany - Timelapse week 1 - week4

Iam totally freaked out by the stem of that one plant. Its incredible. You cant tell what the real main stem is anymore as the main stem and two of the side branches have exactly the same height and thikness. The Satori is a incredibly vigorous strain. I love growing it!

Sorry, this might be the last update Iam doing due to the incredible "pain in the ass (C)" pic upload system of the forum. Also its not possible to update the threads title in a weekly manner which leaves this thread with a total wrong title as we are in week 6 now. Why cant I edit an entry that is older than a couple of days?

Please 420mag, try and update your forum to something more up to date than this steampunk system. :( I cant understand why everything has to be so sluggish and complicated on this forum.

If this should be the last update I will still come back to post harvest pictures.

EDIT: 15 girls, all healthy and super duper in shape. No nutes given yet, Mandala Seeds strains LOATH nutes ^^
