3x125 cfl lights room temp 75-80 humidity 50% 6 krush i think so i was told, anyway in coco 5lt pots feeding cana coco a&b
2weeks in veg ph 5.8-6 tds ppm 900 leaves started yellowing on edge and started to curl in on some. ANd can any one tell me how to post from gallaxy ace on here please. roughly giving them half a litre of water and nutes . will try and post pics soon ass. thanks all and happy new year.

pics always helps
how big is the plant and how often are you watering?
if its too small the nutes might not be helping at full strength
starting it in a big pot makes it take longer
always better to start it in a cup and let it get to a fair size before you transplant\
we need more info and some pics to help you better
make sure the pot is dry before you water good to know the dry weight of the pot
its probably one of the reasons why better to start in a smaller container
cause the roots will be able to reach the whole area that's wet compared to putting it in a huge pot and not
being sure when to water
point being watering enough when its small may be saturating the bottom with water constantly may cause problems later
lots of reasons to start in a smaller container
best one is itll grow faster

hope theses hlp thanks guys.

should i flush with ph water and if so how long.
Do you think nute burn or over wateing.
heating room at 74-80
room humidity 45-55%
inlet fan on and 12inc fan blowing over tops of them.
3 125watt cfl on them 4inc from top of plant.
plants in 5ltr pots
watering 15ml of A&B canna nutes to 5lt of water.
watering every 3 days with run off.
ppm tds is now 900 some one said 1200 when i first watered, that could be proplem. and in coco coir.
Hope enough info thanks everyone one for feed back.

looks like more than one issue
some nute burn
looks like some possible overwatering
bbl looks more and try to help you figure it out
im not a coco guy so hopefully a coco guy chimes in
what i do know of coco is its not like soil more like hydro the coco doesn't really store stuff like nutes
it does absorb and hold when watered but its not like soil where everythings in the soil
every 3 days you water how dry is it when you do?
need to put more thought into this and maybe some reading
need to do res changes first ill get back
hopefully some of these coco guys join in theres a lot of em here
\lot of every type of grower as far as soil/hydro/etc..

I believe your leaf damage is from nutrient burn and posibly pH fluctuation. you want pH 5.8 for hydroponic and soiless (peat moss and coco coir) and pH 6.5 for soil.

here is a nutrient availability chart

Thanks for info wil wait for someone in coco but i am thinking the same as you
So i hope im right in saying leave pots to dry to my first nuckle, and stop feeding
and just give ph water.
How long do i give just ph water and for how long.
And then just start on 1/4 nutes till they look better. want to switch in 2weeks will
they have recovered.
So will 600 ppm tds be ok to start then work up to 900 ppm when i switch
Thanks again for getting back ;-)

Hi kingjohnc as i put above ive been ph in at 5.8
as i looked up thats good for coco.
ive bufferd my ph pen and its reading ph 4 and 7 in solution.
when i first started thmem in coco i was told to soak in rizo to
fluff coco up to fill pots as it came in compressed blocks.
add plants then water with 1200 ppm (tds) witch i did.shoot me!!!!
but after reading up on this great forum i do recon thats the proplem
so im going to just ph water to5.8 and just water BUT how long do i do that
for help would be great.
And after that just go down to quater nutes.
That wil roughly be 10ml A&B canna coco at 600 ppm(tds)
would that be right.
HOW MUCH PH WATER PER 5ltr POTS
Thanks agian for your replies and time ppl.

I would flush your pots with at least twice the volume of pH adjusted water as pot size. After you flush you pots I would water with a 1/4 strength nutrient solution so your plants have some nutrients. When I flush my plants pots I take them to the bathtub and place them on a milk crate so the water can run through the pots.

Thanks again will do that see what happens ya a star man will keep yous possted with what happens. Thanks.

I don't know how people do in coco but I know guys use drips on them how often is the cycles im not sure I know
in soil they wait till the pot is just about completely dry
but as coc is like hydro if im not mistaken its inert so it requires the nutes and waterings more often still not sure
how often but KJC seems to have some info on the subject

Thanks for your reply, Been doing some reading up on here,
nute burn and underwatering keeps coming up, so going to give them
a litre of water with a ph of 5.8 and 700 ppm(TDS) with 30% run off see
what happens, then thinging tsp epsom salts and tbs of molasses. if works
what i ve read up on will post pics of them next week hopefully good ones
thanks again for takeing time to reply. Thanks all every bit of info helps me
and others that view. Thanks

Great share of knowledge guys :goodjob:
here's a link to a Coco-Journal PACKED with excellent info RE; COCO from OZ

I agree with King & CHdog, also,

maybe do some "training" bending, roping, wiring or other methods used to keep ALL your "tops" the same distance from the bulb/s

this will increase your yield bigtime. Just a thought, they'll be fine after a little reading of some journals or FAQ here at :420:
