24-on 12-off light cycle

true thats why in the bible it tells is to trust no one not even our familys as their the most likely to deceave us and lead us astray as we let our gaurd down with our familys , so it says to listej toi one spirit not any other so sooth sayers and fortune tellers i dont deny there talking with spirits but their talking to the wrong ones lol, when told my dad things he just shrugged them off and once called me a schitz so i jus allow him to beleive what ever he wants to beleive , i could say i am a studier of life nothing perticular just everything in general i like to see the bigger birds eye view of a map more than the nitty detials , like saying i see the bigger picture even though i dont know all the nitty detials like a lot of people can .my memory is not good like that , some of the kids at school use to say i had half a brain lol. i jusdt understand thigns differently thats all and n0ot developed in area;s other 's are. i am generally quiet till i have a smoke and get thinking on a subject but i can easily loose focus and forget . its probibly why i try to type as fast as i think cause if i stop to pause about a spelling i will lose my swing and train of thought lol.
in a crowd i generally just people watch and study behav9ours and interactions, makes you could at knowing when people are fake lol

I keep coming back to DLI and 24 hours of light is rarely needed to satisfy even the highest DLI requirements.

Dr Bruce Bugbee has lots of published peer reviewed papers on this subject if Migro's information is insufficient.

Ok nice, I'm impressed, this what that 24/14 produced ? N no topping ? It actually looks 👍 The buds do look extra thick, look at base of bud swelling !! The sugar leaves/frost leaves do look a bit more developed than usual, the frostys look like fan leaves !!? Interesting 🤔 I also like the no topp, seems to have done her own branching lolol. Looks much better than I expected fr. The grower you referring has a nice set up and sounds like he knows what he doing. You also sound to be pretty knowledgeable about his inner thoughts and ideas ?......are you the grower you referring too lolol. The plants look great and the grow looks very professional, I am very intrigued to see that grow method. Can you post more pics ? Of the staulk and under canopy and the base of your main stem budz ? As well as some veg n early flower pics If you have any ??
Good job bro👍
This is what happens with this process. A top usually consists of budsites with just sugar leaves at each node at the top. With extended light periods by altering the length of a day, what would normally be the budsites actually becomes its own top. So its a top full of tops. That is why the leaves are more developed than just sugar leaves. Its a nightmare for trimming, but it can produce some thick, thick tops.

My buds on the last grow did elongate a little. Maybe from overcrowding.

Yes idk if the things I noticed are characteristics of 24/12 but if those are regularly reproducible results then I'm gonna have to try that cycle. I just heard discussion on geeone3 thread I think about fractional weight increase w dry trim and back building. Imagine the potential of a plant under 24/12 with, training and bud back building plus those extra heavy sugar leaves...yield #'s gonna climb n look good. Maybe even large could be transformed with these methods??

This is probably one of the best pictures of her.

Yea that's nuts bro, looks like last feed was spicy lol those are 3 ft colas ...sheesh bro,you did nothing to her training wise? N very nice light, what's the watts on that thing?

i noticed how far you have your light above the canopy is that the hieght you have been using to grow under ?, or is it just that you needed the light out of the way for a better pic ? , i try to have my lights as low as possable and run at 400w instead of 600 or 660 watts, 600watt been the max and 660watt been the overdrive. but witrht he room been so small the heat saturates the room. i have just managed to get a 7000btu ac unit and have it recircukating air from insid outside and a wibdow open so it brings cool air back in through the window. as the ones in the uk are mainly the single hose ac units. i know some growers put there light high and just use full power and raise and lower the light in the tent to get the right par and dli levels.

I keep my light as high as i can. Every bulb in the light is a sun. So forget morning, noon, afternoon, northern exposure, southern exposure. It ALL happens all day when your light is 4x4. Its a 700 watt light, but i only ran it about half. I was getting tip burn with that.

Now here is the theory i havnt discussed. That plant was in flower for 24 weeks. The trichomes would just not turn amber. But think about what a trichome's job is. Its to make THC as quick as it can. Imagine if there was no hurry, and the trichomes can do their job for twice as long. Im not close enough to someone that tests it, but you could imagine THC content being much higher, right?

where can i get a link to one of your grows i looked yesterday but couldnt find a link to see one of your grows ?

could you post a link to one of your grows ?
You just gotta press on his profile pic n a bunch of options pop up n you will see his posts n pics n stuff

Really so the crystals turned cloudy but would not turn fully amber or did they stay glassy the whole time? Can u get a close up of crystals but not a macro,so we can see the density of the Crystals?. I think you could be onto something but wouldn't that mean that flower is technically extended?

I get it, people love to experiment, but I just want to point out that this is not very well controlled. A better path to getting big sticky nugs is get a bigger/more powerful light first and foremost and then optimizing each other aspect of the grow as well. I get pretty big flowers without making crazy changes in the light schedule (12/12) as do most of the other growers here.

I'm kind of low-key horrified at the thought of keeping one plant in flower for 24 weeks >.>

Oh ofc it's def not scientific, but I been very curious about the light cycles, I'm surprised it looks so good ,I thought 24/12 was impossible lol. And I also understand what your saying about eliminating variables,I do, I also think not every sick discovery starts with controlled experiment. Who knows maybe down the line after curious minds will setup a legit experiment cuz of the potential benefits discussed here who knows lol I like the idea, the attempt was solid and done well enough to warrant a second glance/attempt in my mind. ............wait wat?????? 24 weeks !!!! No way bro, that was a typo he meant 2 to 4 weeks longer ....right?

lol... maybe?
But if 2 to 4 weeks isn't what he meant, just the added cost per bud in electricity and food seems like it would be extremely prohibitive.
