What distance from plants would be recommended... Had them at 15-16" previous grows and both foxtail? Thanks

What covers are you using?? Bare bulbs get hot you need a hood or a tube to remove the heat. Put the back of your hand facing the lamps. Start at like 30" away and slowly move your hand closer to the lamp, when you start to feel the heat your getting too close. Measure that distance.
