#1-PH meter
#2 Moister meter
Back in the early 80's when i started growing i read the "Marijuana Growers guide" and "Marijuana Botany".Good reading for the time.
Now after a long pause I'm learning all over.
Just like a top mechanic always Say's "The right tool for the right job".
I've been having a few plants that are not right and now i can narrow it down.
By the way i bought a Rapitest PH and Moister meters.:ganjamon:

Nope...I say you have one of two most important. A PPM/EC meter is more important than moisture meters. One can utilize the wet/dry method and never need to see how moist their soil is and still never over water. A EC or PPM meter will allow one to dial in nutrient strengths. that is a lot more important than what a moisture meter tells you.

Concur with Race, you are obviously missing your EC/TDS meter along with a PH. It will work on soil or hydro as you are testing the nute level of the water you are feeding with in either case.
Most nutes list the appropriate dose per any given plant stage, generally from the 500-700ppm for seedling, right on up through 1300ppm towards harvest time. Reading the Total Dissolved Solids will at least give you some relative level to judge against when trouble-shooting, and can distinctly effect final yield. It won't tell you specific N,P,K amounts, but still worth every penny as a hard number reference like PH.
