Hi guys
This is my 1st autoflower growing journal

Strain:
• Blue Amnesia Auto
• OG Kush Auto

LED light:
Full Spectrum QBZ 1000W Samsung LM281B Quantum LED with 65 watt real power from wall meter

Grow Tent: 3x3
50% Soil Mix + 30% perlite + 20% Coco in 18oz clear solo cup each covered with paper sleeves to avoid root from light.

RH 60-80%
Temp: 30-32 C

I germinated both seeds starting by soaking them in a glass of distilled water phed 6.3 for 24 hours then placed those seeds in paper towel. After 48 hours the blue amnesia had 1 inch tap root while the OG Kush around 0.5 inch.

I filled two solo cups with soil mix + perlite + coco until run off before I planted those seeds in about 1.5 inch deep

I sprayed plastic bag with water then cover the cups as a humidity domes.

Here is the 2nd day, and I’m very happy they both popped up from soil.

The Blue Amnesia Auto is abt 2cm tall

The OG Kush is abt 1.5cm tall

They both still have their seed skin attached.

Should I remove these domes now and move it under the LED light?
is 30 inches distance is good enough for young seedlings?

I checked from the soil is still very moist, I might wait another day or two before I water it again, should I water until run off again on my next watering?

Any advices will be much appreciated

Yes remove the dome, a dome is predominantly used for clones to keep rh high cuz they have no roots but a seedling has its own roots.

Nope do not water to runoff just yet since it’s a new seedling. Tiny plants need tiny amounts of water. More water doesn’t make the plant grow better or faster, soil grown weed needs to see a full wet/dry cycle… but soil is not the same as coco coir. Watering too frequently will negatively impact your roots…. For most soil types- your weed roots need to receive a bit of water then they need to dry out down to the bottom of container…. roots cannot breathe in constantly wet or damp soil.

You did a nice write up on your journal - welcome aboard

At 65W, 30 inches is much too high. You already risk damping off because of too wet medium, you don't want them stretching for light as well. Bring it down to 16 inches, elevate solo cups, I assume they can drain, and provide air circulation to beef up stem and dry out medium. Moist not wet. Good luck.

Hi guys
hope you have a wonderfulday

Just an update of for these 2 girls I am growing on DAY 4

the OG Kush Auto, she is 4 cm tall

Here is the Blue Amnesia Auto, she is 4 cm tall. The cotyledons somehow don't open.
Should I do something to fix her? or should I keep her that way?

I mist spray them twice a day around 3-5 squirts each to keep them moist.

I have lowered the light around 20 inches as @skirk and @013 suggested

I watered the solo cup till a lil run off before I planted them and have not water them since.
I am thinking of watering it tomorrow

Do I need to water them till run off again this time? Or any suggestions how many ml should I water each solo cup?
the solo cup is around 18 oz

Any advices are appreciated

Hi @22nory .
The blue amnesia has a small part of the seed casing still attached holding the cotyledons closed. It's the inside of the shell casing, a thin skin ( membrane ) like layer that needs to be removed delicately for the leaves to open.

Best to do with a little water, when you next mist the seedling gently try to lift it off. If that's unsuccessful you may need to get a small blade and try to seperate the two cotyledons at the top.
Be gentle...it does need to be done if the plant is having trouble doing it itself.

These are wet and dry weights for my mix in 18oz. solos. As you can see there is a 65g or 2oz difference. I water when I get within 20g of dry weight and keep 10g below wet weight. So I'm using about an ounce of water to keep medium moist. I don't know the density of your mix and your cups aren't full but no more than an ounce will keep your roots from being in saturated medium. Moist not wet. Runoff is not necessary but can be done if your medium drains well, you have air circulation and bottom of cup is out of standing runoff.

I am heeding your advice sir

Hi guys
hope you have a good weekend

Just want to update you on the Day 7 of my babies grow

The Blue Amnesia Auto.
She had helmet head since she sprouted even few times mist spray didn't do much.
I finally used tweezer and gently removed it.

I water her using dry/weight technique I adapted from @skirk and apply it to my conditions. thank you @skirk I really appreciate it.

her dry weight is 137 gram and wet weight is 250 gram. I water her around 50 gram of ph-ed 6.3 when her weight is 170 gram.

But this time I watered her 40 gram of ph-ed water and 10 gram of Superthrive water (2 drop in 1 litre) to relief her stress after I removed helmet head.

I really hope she is happy now

The OG Kush is growing really well. I am very happy with the progress.

I also water her using dry/weight technique I adapted from @skirk

her dry weight is 122 gram and wet weight is 200 gram. I water her around 35 gram of ph-ed 6.3 when her weight is 145 gram.

Hi Guys
Hope you are well

Here is an update of my grows on DAY 12

The OG Kush has been amazing.
She grows fast,
Screenshot_20220519-193224_Gallery.jpg

Comparing to her sister, The Blue Amnesia is very slow, she could be stunted because of me removing her helmet head the other day.
I have been watering her with few drops of Superthrive to avoid stress.
I can see her growing, just not as fast as the other grow (OG Kush)

Any advice what to do with her?

Here they are side by side
Screenshot_20220519-193406_Gallery.jpg

I water both plants every 3-4 days when I feel the solo cups are light with water ph-ed 6.3

I am thinking of watering the Blue Amnesia with Superthrive solution water today.

Questions:
1. Do you think The Blue Amnesia is stunted? Any advice what should I do with it?

2. When do you think I should transplant them? I am thinking of transplant each of them to 2 gallon fabric pot.

Thank you for your supports

Hey 22, sorry for my gap in following your journal. Everything looks great so far.

maybe a little bit stunted but should grow out of that. You could trim the cup edges down a little bit on blue amnesia, plants don’t do well in a bowl since there is less air movement across soil surface.

Nope they are not ready to transplant yet.…
Thank you for your reply

would it be better to trim the cup or add more soil?

Some people from other forum told me to transplant. here is the pictures lf the root

please advice

Here is the og kush from the bottom
