Good morning my friend hope you are doing well.Update week 10 day 6 flower
Since week 8 I have been slowly flushing the growing medium of both plants felt as though I may have been over feeding (primarily SAT A)
Sat A is showing more bud development however I did bend one branch pretty bad not sure how well it will recover can
see leaves in general are brightening (some dying on bent branch) may reintroduce light feeding if plants need to go past week13 trichomes are probably slightly more milky than clear at this point buds don’t feel too great
This plant gives off a skunky and sweet smell too me even a hint of chocolate
Sat B has had a lot more hairs turn amber aswell as bud bulking the buds on SAt B feel more solid and dense compared to A the smell coming from this one is almost purely a sweet smell with a hint citrus or lemon
Both plants

Good morning my friend hope you are doing well.
Garden looks good.
I noticed a couple things.
Your girls seem to be missing some fan leaves.
Fans give energy to your buds, I don't remove them.
I also see a bit of curl and deep deep green leaves.
I cut back the nitrogen in flower.
They still definitely need some but too much is not great in flower.
What are you feeding?
Take care.
Talk soon.
Here is the mixing schedule for soil.Appreciate you taking a look at the grow
With the fan leaves I think early on back in veg actually I defoliated way too much I haven’t really took much off in flower besides the lower portion of the plant and those little baby buds that pop up (some leaves have died off aswell to)
Nutrients pictured below cut out the green bottle after veg didn’t really learn the whole number system on the bottom just fed based instructions on back probably went wrong somewhere was adding them to fox farms ocean forest soil too
Here is the mixing schedule for soil.
If you set ph 6.3 is your goal.
But I’d follow their recommendations for soil.
In soil I feed full strength nutrients to runoff.
Then I let her dry a bit.
Then plain water.
Then dry a bit then feed again.
Repeating this water dry , feed dry, water dry.
In flower I don’t let it dry as much as veg.
How are you feeding?

Ph is fine but feed every other watering.
With feeding I generally stuck to plain water then feeding then repeat and it’s for the most part been 2 days in between watering sometimes 1
I’ve also realized there has been quite a few times I did not water to runoff whether plain or feeding I’ve been making sure to do so each time the past week and a half …although I haven’t fed the plants anything in 3 weeks.. how big of a factor is the runoff thing?
With PH I really forget to check the runoff I did once forgot what it was but each time I water .plain or feeding the ph is 6.2-6.5
Congrats Amigo.Update week 13 day 1 of flower (HARVEST DAY)
Decided to pull the plug on this grow it’s been fun lots of mistakes and lots learned looking forward to my second grow I’ve decided it’ll be feminized seeds and more than likely indica doms
However for the end of this grow Ive got them chopped and drying in the same tent climate was pretty much already set aiming for 10 days before I trim and jar em up definitely will smoke some once it’s dry but plan on letting it cure for 2 weeks before really digging in
SAT A : foxtail monster
The bent branch on this one turned out to not really be healing although the branch did repair or atleast appeared to (it was sturdy as it had been prior to bending)the buds and leaves kept drying out however not really sure what happened there..
so the top broken half was harvested early and developed a hay smell (was essentially drying under the light) and only yielded about 5 grams of bud and 1 of trim..
I’m hoping the rest of the plant yields and smells better once properly dried the undamaged parts of the plant have a strong earthy scent now and abit of a gassy smell don’t really like it but will see how it smokes the buds did dense up some but can’t really beat the foxtailing
SAT B:minute maid
This plant although being planted like 3-4 weeks after my initial batch. (all of which turned out male besides SAT A) having a reduced veg time (couldn’t properly train the branches) And getting mangled at the beginning of flower(dropped the plant while in a clay pot lost roots and 4 branches) all of that on top of each other…which I’m sure stunted the plant …I took it out the tent interrupting it’s light cycle surely stunting it some more..
It still pushed along and finished up great..
it smells like lemon candy or a fruity Minute Maid drink ..
the density of the nugs on the taller branches feels great if I knew the name of the strain I’d definitely recommend for beginners as it seems pretty hardy …and it feels like when I dry ,trim and weigh it’ll give me a nice yield ..especially considering it should’ve been vegged and trained 3 weeks longer before flowering and lost what would have been some of the best producing branches/bud sites
Sidenotes
Both plants were somewhere between 70/30-80/20 cloudy/clear trichomes there were some ambers but not enough to even estimate an actual percent they both left my fingers pretty sticky the few times I squeezed them to check density. SAT B had pretty much stopped developing white hairs/pistils while SAT A still had quite a few however based on my research sometimes with foxtailing you’d be waiting forever for white hairs to go away
Opinions on cannabis cultivation in general after first grow
Growing plant life in general is pretty interesting once you start and this will probably set you up to grow vegetables or something like that if you want to can easily make this a hobby that pays
There certainly needs to be a more scientific based focused and more standardized language for instance Cola/main branch(es)/bud sites/tops too many different terms to say “the part where the weed grows “ things like this obviously can be confusing for newbs…
Flushing,24/48/72 hours of darkness and many more things people throw at you are all essentially myths on the same level as “the 5 second rule ” with food, absolutely no scientific evidence and the little bit of science there is about cannabis generally goes directly against these mythical practices
Things like this add unnecessary difficulty and frustration into trying to understand the plant
Hopefully as legalization slowly pushes along these things will change
All and all this was still an enjoyable process it’s great to actually go back through all the photos of the development feel like a proud parent
Guess I’ll update this for the last time after I dry and trim
