Re: 1st Grow - Alaskan Thunderfuck x4 - Durban Poison - Blue Kush & Blueberry In Kind
Flower Day 35, day 25 with hairs update.
Not much to report on the girls in flower. The buds are forming nicely and they are getting sticky (accidentally touched one and it was like pine sap). No need to water yet (day 4 since last watering).
First batch of transplanted clones are still chugging along. New growth is looking good but still relatively slow.
ATF #4, the male I will use for breeding is getting on the tall side inside the smaller tent. I need to take some off the top (will take clones to keep the genetics alive) so he doesn't get burned on the top.
Clone update - So I reported on my last update that 4 ATF #2 clones had rooted (2 in rockwool and 2 in rapid rooters), so no real noticeable difference between the two mediums. One thing I noticed was that those done in the rockwool had a slight green hue formed on top of the rockwool. Not sure what that is (so if there are any growers that know what causes this or what it is, please chime in). I transplanted those 4 clones into small pots yesterday. Pots were filled with 2 inches of KindSoil and then a one inch layer of Coco-Loco, then clones were placed in and backfilled with Coco-Loco. Today I checked the other clones (ATF #1) in the humidity dome (cut and put into their mediums 2 days after the others) and their roots were showing through. I also checked the clones in the produce bags. The ATF #2 clone done in rockwool showed roots as well. I transplanted all of them into pots via the same method that I used on the other 4 clones.
(Note: The Blueberry clone stuck into a Rapid Rooter plug in the produce bag is the only clone out of the 8 clones I took that hasn't rooted yet. Its worth noting that on two separate occasions I found her toppled over and on the floor where she fell off the table. Once happened overnight and I put her back up in the morning and the second time was discovered over the weekend that I was away so I don't know how long she was laying on the floor. I am sure this certainly didn't help the rooting situation)
I will post pictures of the girls in flower tomorrow.
Here are pics of the new roots on the clones and them after transplanting.
Also, here are some pics of Ms Stanks work with some pineapples we ate and decided to try and grow. She just trimmed them up and put in cups of water by the window.
We transplanted them into pots and will see if we can grow our own pineapples.
