Flower Day 3 Update

Not much going on yet. Watered all the girls today, they were really thirsty. Put almost 6 gallons of water into the 5 girls pots. Thats about a gallon more than I usually water them. Seems like they are starting to drink faster. Gotta come up with something that will make watering easier for when I am put them in their SCRoG.

Small grow tent update - ATF #4 male is just doing his thing. RH has dropped drastically in the last two days. Its about 28% in the male's tent.

Clone update - clones are doing well. They perked up quite a lot over the last two days. I thought I had killed them....they looked pitiful a few hours after I put them in the rockwool cubes. Glad to see they have rebounded like they have.

I do only know from Autoflowers, but as soon as they starting to get some real Bud, they are drinking a a huge amount of Water

I am sure it won't take long and I will be watering every 3 days and then possibly down to every other day. Thats why I have to come up with a watering system something like yours. I have a few ideas tinkering around in me head....just gotta make a trek to the store.

Quick Clone update - day 4 of clone and Flower

Clones have really bounced back nicely. Here are my 6 clones, 2 from DP, 2 from BK, and two from ATF #2. I tried running a bit of an experiment in the size of the clone. I took really small cuttings from the DP, small and medium from the ATF, and mediun to bigger from the Blue Kush. I wanted to see if there was any difference in the way the different sizes reacted. They were all really hurting on day one, but have all bounced back really nicely. I am kind of restricted to the height of the clone cutting due to my humidity dome. I am going to try using produce bags on my next cloning attempt (idea stolen from Lembatoast....awesome outdoor journal if anyone is interested). That way I can try bigger cuttings if I choose.

Still no movement in the flower stage yet. Canopy has filled back out again like I haven't defoliated in a month. Will give her another week or so before I give her a hair cut. Temps are staying in the low to mid 70s (70-75) and the RH has been about 50% the last two days. No signs of pests and the leaves all look to be in perfect shape. Loving growing in this KindSoil.

Small Grow tent Update - ATF #4 is still growing nicely. Going to have to start bending or cutting soon, he is growing way too much! Temps in the mid 70s and RH is in the upper 40s. All looks good with him.

Clones Update day 5 - Clones are still looking good, no signs of roots popping out yet. Just trying to be patient (even though I get up every 2-3 hours and look for roots).

Cloning.....Its super easy, just all about having everything set up and sterile. Of course I say that without having any roots pop out yet LOL!!

Girls are getting very bushy in there! Just wait until your do your first defol, they'll get skinny and then bounce back so fast after that, you won't even think you did a defol lol

Beautiful plants and your clones will root just spray with water every 3 days I would Google it a lil bc I usually clip the leaves a lil bit, and it makes it easier, or YouTube it,, I had a 95% success rate on my clones, I actually have too many so I am donating some to a friend this is my veg room and some sprouts some clones

They have to be extremely overgrown with fan leaves at the point of your week 3 (day 18ish) defoliation right? Mine are a week since their last haircut and its getting kind of junglish in there brother!!!

Yep, right around day 18 is when I hit em with a defol. Since you did one a week ago maybe don't go and extreme as if you hadn't done one at all in flower yet.

I haven't touched them in flower yet other than to water and look for pests. Figured I would try to give them a couple weeks. They will be looking like 70's porn stars by then!

Oh alright, I saw you say a week since their last haircut?

If they haven't been touched then I would remove all lower fans that are coming out from the branches if you haven't pulled those already. Then go and take off about 2 nodes or so on each shoot. Obviously if there is a fat cola maybe leave it and don't take as much off as you would on the other branches. Once you've done all that defoliating, then go and take off all the fans on the lowest node on each branch.

That is my method for defoling normally unless there is a certain circumstance where I see fit to do otherwise

Yeah I did quite a lot of defoliation in the veg. I started slowly initially to test the girls, and as I gained confidence in their ability to take more, I increased the scope of the defoliations. I think it was Crocodoc that said they were looking like chickens with their almost all of their feathers plucked out.
