1st DWC/Hempy Harlequin Joe - Pot of Gold - NYSD - BB - ATF '13

Late but subed

I see

Well, my internet has been flaky again and seems to still be so... It took me about 2 hours to upload photos, so we'll see if I can get this update done or not.

First, pretty much everything that was vegging is now in the flower tent as of today. This way, as the seeds that are soaking or in plugs and waiting to sprout will have room after veg. I also got my order from Herbies today, so I popped a mazar x white rhino, an auto candy kush and a lemon kush fem. to soak overnight. The Sleestack x Skunk 1 that sprouted the other day turned out to be a twin, my first...

Ok, here are the pictures as of today:

And the Harlequin Jo # 2 clone that I'm working into a mama, starting her bonsai training:

I forgot to take pictures of the window lickers today, my bad. Right now there are 3 bagseed going in the window, one likely to be male based on stretch. I had to pull another male out of flower today and he has been moved into the other bathroom with the other male for pollen collection.

My plan right now is to let everything that has vegged flower in the tent, that way all the seeds that have been popped, plush the dynasty clones I have down to root and the HJ2 clones I will take, will have space for flowering once they've vegged.

If my internet stays up for a bit, I need to make my way to everyone else's journal... hope everyone has had a good couple days :) :Namaste:

Looking good rune. i see you are lovin the tent and new light. :circle-of-love::cheertwo::circle-of-love::cheertwo::cheertwo::circle-of-love:

Welcome Josh, you'll be seeing something familiar in a few weeks... best price on large hempy pots I could get for the next round was dollar store trash cans, lol. Yours look more heavy duty, but if I can squeak a few grows from them, or heck, just one grow, that's worth a dollar per pot, heh ;)

Runewulf, your 2 liter soda bottles along with all the research ive done have lead to what i believe is a brilliant idea for ghetto cloning. It'll be easier to show-&-tell than explain.

Yeah, you can clone in them pretty well as long as the growing medium stays moist. I actually use the top pieces of the 2L bottles for small humidity domes when needed. I had some clones at the beginning that were rejecting the rockwool for some reason, so I tried moving them straight to a hempy in perlite. They rooted... the blueberry is the one in the dwc in back (peanut tin) ... that one got a bit damaged and is stunted, but I'll give it another week.

Hey bro, hope girls are loving life. I will add something to the clone speech if I may, I have found out a way to make clones survive at least 90% of the time, and there is no need to keep them humid!!! What I do, after taking the cuttling, Is basically scrapping all the stem that will be in contact with the medium and the hormones, so this way, the plant absorbs all the nutrients in the water and the water MUCH MUCH easier, I do spray them once a day early in the morning just after lights are on, since thats when stomatas are open. But IMO, they dont need that 90% or 70% humidity amount, what they DO need, is good, real good ventilation for Co2 to get in!
Hope it helps, Cheers and peace! :) :thumb:
Irie, Jah bless :rasta:

great minds think alike

True dat ;) They do work well... I've also cut a few 2L at the bottom and used the taller dome as a single mini-greenhouse around party cups for starting seeds as well... they work great and fit nicely on most window sills :)

Heya Sinse, when I lived down south in FL and LA, our humidity was so high and it was warm enough, you didn't need a humidity dome on most plants as long as you didn't have a lot of constant airflow (i.e. a fan blowing directly on them). That said, even though this is a high humidity area, the inside of my house is NOT high humidity. That room's ambient is between 30 and 40% right now and that's with 2 5gal buckets of water open to let chlorine bleed off in the room. Unfortunately, if I don't have a humidity dome of some sort, most plants will wilt and tamp off in here if the roots haven't established... they don't have to be big, little 1 - 2" rootlets seem to be enough, but if I don't keep them mostly covered until I get the first new growth, they'll die... I think it's just the fact that the humidity is low and the temps shift between about 50*f to about 85*f in that room on some days right now. Oh, and no heating pad for clones/seeds right now, so they get the full cooldown at night.

I see what you mean, but they shouldnt die if you scrape the stem and let them do the capilar work! My humidity roams between 40 to 70%! I guess everyone's technics are diferent bro. It might be just me, but I dont keep them humid all day, just once a day. I do keep the dome so the rockwool doesnt dry!, All I tried to express, is the fact that if they can absorb enough water through the stem, there is no need to keep high levels of humidity! Cheers, :peace: Stay high

No worries Sinse... I'm still trying to dial in a few things in this new climate. I think if I could set up a mist to run 3 or 4 times a day, I wouldn't need the dome... I know as soon as the roots are about an inch long I don't need the dome any more. As far as scraping, I do that and sometimes split the bottom 1/2 inch or so. I think if I was running an aero cloner it would probably be fine... I really think it has to do with the airflow in that area, the humidity and the temps at night there, at least so far. But I'm also still experimenting as I've only lived her for a few months now :)

the 2liter hempy is a proven high yeilding system along with bpn you can crank out mass killer bud, check out member 420fied & 12twelve those guys take it to the next level! many others also, if i could do high brix in 2lh i would!, cloneing is interesting there are so many ways to be succesful one member sqwheels just drops cuts in a yogurt cup in the veg tent and gets roots in 2 weeks plain water ,thats it! or full on fancy aero cloning and high tech gels,or tissue culture clone gelseeds if you have a new method you should make a diy thread in seed, clone, etc. forum

have you got some super thrive? when cloning and dealing with stressed plants ihave notfound a better product, its full of b vitamins and plant derived horomones, and some stuff they keep secret, anyway ive seen it fevive plants that were all but gone, its a must have in my book!
the ladies look toot shaweet! its been a long time since i had very small flowering plants i forgot how charming they are! well done bruh!

Hey BID, no superthrive, but I do have General Organics "Roots" and I've been crushing and disolving B vitamin as well. Just as a test, I removed the humidity dome over one set of clones, within about 2 hours, they were fully wilted and drooping, I tried misting and that didn't help... I just put them back under a dome to see if they revive...

yeah in a pinch that will help but i cant find anything better than st for those things, the bpn vita blue is close, but its more a b supplement with other nutes, , you should get some the 2oz bottle last me about 2 yrs bout 10 smackers:thumb: many growers swear by it ,i sure do, jandre was having probs one time and i mentioned st he was like "doh! i forgot! st!" and was glad i reminded him i think we saved his plants that time,i was so glad i thought to ask:high-five:

I will definitely pick some up when I get paid... it's been on the list, but as you know, it's a question of "what's the most important next purchase" and "what makes the most sense for continuing to build the setup, as opposed to slowing it down or just being a temporary stopgap" kind of thing, lol... being disabled is a pain ;) :Namaste:
