1st CFL Grow

1st time using an all CFL setup. This Chernobyl grows like crazy! Great strain for topping early and training!

Yeah 420 needs a vaultboy icon.... I'm gathering that this isn't your first grow, so I'm interested to see your thoughts on the CFL vs your previous.

I was told that you cant grow dense quality buds with CFL lighting, so I had to give it a try. Love a challenge! Using only 6500k bulbs at the equivalent of 1200 watts for veg, they all grew super quickly. Granted its Chernobyl, known for being a beast lol. Switched out most of the lights with 2700k bulbs at about the same wattage when I went 12/12. All I can say after this grow is, Im not going back to my HPS setup! CFL runs a lot cooler and cost a lot less to run.
 
Nice to hear. For CFL's it's easier to talk in total lumens, like I have approx ~10k per m2. Or, 18 lights over my girls (images in my gallery) in groups of six. Your girls look great, how many bulbs (I'm guessing 10+) for what area?

6 lights at 11w
10 at 18w
1 at 55w
In a 4x4x5 box. I pulled some lights out..... More than enough for this tiny space with just 17. Haha
 
Love the macguyver. I'm a bit surprised at how much you're like the results between that setup vs hid/hps, because most of those lights aren't optimally oriented (they should be horizontal or you loose alot of the effective light). Makes me not feel so poor tending under them. ;D
 
Chernobyl #2... Add some more light and tried to de-ghetto-fy my setup! Lol.. Whatever works. Fox Farms trio and soil.. oh and the little girl is some Super Silver Haze Im recovering for a buddy..
