Looks decent, but I think your friend might be pulling your leg.
If I were to take a guess that looks like maybe 3-4 oz cured not a pound.
Those buds would have to be 2.5 oz each to come close to a pound.
If it was 15 oz wet it would be about 3 oz dried/cured.

Unless thats just like 1/4 of the plant.

Or did you mean 1.5 oz?

This was a photo-period, not an auto, with about a dozen big ass buds and was just 9.6 oz dried and cured.

Nice work
I have no reason to doubt him nor him to exaggerate. I did not see it dried but the one coloa was as big as my thigh. Touched my thumbs together and my fingers were at least 3" or more away from touching. I would guess 7 or 8" in dia.16"+ long.
He regularly gets 12 to 14oz per plant cured in 12 to 13 wks from pop. Photoperiod. This guy is for real. He has gotten away from conventional grow and has developed the Lazy Method as he calls it with his own strain. No defoliating for the most part and 14 gal pots from the start. Waters with fish tank water and half strength nutes. He has been growing on a pro level since the mid 70's. Has underground container grow in the desert that he can no longer use because a dispensary moved close to his grow. Some F'd up AZ law. He was their first I guess doesn't matter.

These were just moved outside. He uses one Extreme 500 per plant in open room no tent. His strain is different than most you will see I'm sure. Same plant hanging on the right.

I think instead of being critical and comparing to your plant you should take some lessons. Develop your own strain and try his Lazy Man method. His main Colas are as big as your thigh. He is playing with Autos now but I think he still likes his genetics.

you should take some lessons.
I absolutely agree.
I would like nothing better than for someone to teach me how to pack 1 pound of bud into a 3 oz plant.
That would change growing as we know it and possibly the space time continuum.
I await such revelations with baited albeit skeptical breath.

Also, you gotta be careful with big bud crosses and those thick colas because a good percentage of the harvest will end up in the trash with bud rot unless you live in the desert or something.
But gorgeous plants, Wish my autos grew like that!

The thread should be deleted but I can't see how
Deleting the thread is tremendous amount of work for the staff and involves also deleting any reference to the msgs and photos. They have to delete everyone's msg, change the member's msg count, rework through the photographs, etc, and etc.

Not to worry. It is a learning experience for everyone and if the thread was deleted it would mean that others that might not get a chance to figure a similar situation. We all have had our own opportunities along the way, sometimes in our ow threads, and often miss the same clues.

And, when they happen hopefully we will be able to laugh, or at least chuckle, at ourselves as the memory comes back.

P.S.: Oh, in case there is any interest, the give-a-way for me was the '30 inch tall plant' which was shown as being 15-18 inches in msg #5. Plants are measured from the point where the come out of the soil to the top and do not include the roots or containers.

THX.
Message 5 was taken well before the one hanging when they were moved outside with the 14g pots. I saw them in pots later just before he harvested. It was 30" hanging. He did say the main cola shrunk to his forearm size when dried which was still huge.
I forgot to ask how old they were.
He did say he could get 1 lb+ per but he would have to veg longer and move outside to finish probably because of height and take lots more work. He's gone Lazy these days as far as growing goes. Quick turnaround and little work but not as much yield at around 5oz per every 10 to 12 wks which he is not real happy with the Autos. I bet he will go back to photoperiod.
