Mystery Seeds !!!

Here are twenty or so mystery seeds, about 12years ago we would get weed from this guy and there was always a few seeds here and there, so i saved them to eventually grow weed of my own. I just found them and decided to see if they will germinate, of course they are raw, male and females. I do know the weed was good, green, and not mexican dirt weed, nothing against mexico Lol

They look healthy, hard as rocks, stored in an airtight container this whole time….

Before i go into a big grow space thing, im gonna be lazy and just see if they first crack, if they grow, and if theres a few females in there.

Thats really it for now other than reading about identifying male and female seedlings and how long this will take.

I love mystery seeds!
@Azimuth and @StoneOtter do something with reg seeds, starting them off on 12/12 for 10 days (I think) to get them to show sex earlier.

Thanks for the tag @Melville Hobbes .

And yep, The Rev, of True Living Organics fame, discovered that if you kept regular seedlings at 12/12 for the first 10-ish days above ground and then revert to 18/6 or whatever your normal lighting schedule is, the plants will usually show sex by right about 30 days.

A pretty handy hack if you're trying to separate males from females earlier on.

With every new development in my growing, theres always something new to learn.

Yup, my only desire is weed out the males (sorry guys) who knows how many living plants i’ll be getting anyway, these seeds have been around awhile m, 12ish years 🙄

Thanx for stopping by, surely appreciated 😌

You will still have to wait until the plants are mature enough. It will not be something you can see while they are seedlings or in the first couple of days after starting to grow their true leaves.

Even if you use this tip mentioned by Azimuth you still are not going to know for about a month.

And after that if they are females you will be rushing around trying to play catch-up with tents, lights, and other accessories.
