Ok...I tried growing some pot last year, but I gave up on it. I thought it took a few weeks to sprout but it like like a month and nothing happened. Then one of my stoner buddies said that his friend put his plant in sunlight for 12 hours a day (I guess) and 12 at night. Explain the whole 12 & 12 thing.

when you first plant the seed it needs to be on 18 hours of light and 6 off. When the plant gets to be about a foot then switch the lighting to 12 hours on and 12 hours off. This causes the plant to begin flowering or budding. When the leaves begin to turn yellow or about a month or 2 it should be ready to harvest. And thats a whole other story.

when indoors when in veg you will like the light to be 18- 24 hours long amd when you start flowering (budding) you will like the lights to be on 12 hours and off for 12 hours
