I am using a bulb that costs an extraordinary amount of money per lamp $260 USD from Hortilux it is a 1000wt "Blue" MH. Because of cost I was unable to completely re-lamp my grow op with these but will eventually.

model# MT1000D /HOR/HTL-BLUE or "Daylight" bulb.

Anyone using the Hortilux Daylight Lamp?

Having to change only a portion at a time might be a good thing if it allows you to judge the difference in performance. Although if your other bulbs are aged, that would have to be taken into consideration.

$260, wow. That's more than a cheap 1000-watt MH bulb...

And a cheap 400-watt bulb/reflector/ballast.

Is the difference in performance better than that?

Then again, that combination eats another 400+ watts of power.

the Blues look awesome it looks like it could veg and Flower. I would like to see how it compares to the dual arc in flowering.
