typically it takes 3+ yrs for the nicotine to work it's way out of your system. it stores itself in fat cells, cravings don't subside until they have been consumed.

the mental side of the addition cycle falls off rapidly from that point forward.

Oh. I still try to consume a small amount of nicotine each day, for its health benefits.

    Just no tobacco.

It does seem that a lot of the older members are not here anymore. 85% of the names I'm seeing are new. Sure wish I knew where the other members went so I could drop in on them. With all the new members I'm getting quite bored with this site. Same old shit repeated over & over.
If you're still around, I've started a new journal and would love it if you wanted to drop by now and then.

I hope you're doing okay. I miss you.
Hope your day was a good one. Brain. Love reading your thoughts.:ciao:

I hope you had a good day, as well.

I ate two meals today, so it was better than average. Oh, and it was Thanksgiving, so there's that. Nobody died (in my "circle"). I wasn't attacked by any animals weighing more than seven pounds. Yeah... I've had worse days ;) .

LMFAO at "brain." It was a fantastic one... once upon a time  . Sins of a misspent youth, and all that. . . .

    Well, not NOW, LMAO.

A friend and I decided to do an outdoor SCROG, wow, a little over 20 years ago. <SHRUGS> We were both younger back then, and... it's not so much that pain doesn't hurt when you're young, but you don't have the memory of pain intruding on all those crazy cool ideas, like happens after one has experienced more of it. Instead of leaving enough space between the ground and the screen to get our arms in, it was "gee, do you suppose we'll be able to crawl all the way through under there?"

We were like Dr. Frankenstein, man, building a monster. One of those awesome sativas that keep boosting and boosting. Sadly, like many awesome sativas, the strain we were trying to work with probably would have finished flowering at some point in December. And, well, we have Winter here (and snow/ice/cold).

Be awesome for someone who lived at a more southerly latitude. And was a contortionist. With eight-foot long arms :D .

By the way, those are some nice looking plants!

Good afternoon, TS. I hope you are well.

I just wanted to leave you a note to tell you that I just finished reading another of your book recommendations. This time, it was The Rule of Stephens by Timothy Taylor and I loved it. I'm not entirely sure why I loved it since there were unanswered mysteries like what exactly happened to all of the survivors but I did.

So, thank you for the suggestion. Next time I read one of your recommendations, it's The Palace by Chelsea Quinn Yarbo. :battingeyelashes:

Actually, that sounds kind of up my alley. Have you ever read Deborah Harkness's A Discovery of Witches series about a witch and a vampire who fall in love? It's a good series. I liked the last one best.

As for the Rule of Stephens, I was sure it was you. Did you ever have the quote in your signature about all problems can be solved by either the Stephen King theories r the Stephen Hawkins' theories, hence the title of the novel.

I did tell you I read and enjoyed The Last Train to Rigel, too based on your recommendation.? :battingeyelashes:

No. Not a fan of relationship novels, to be honest.

Not that I recall. The theory that Steven Hawking was, at some point, replaced by another entity? Seems fantastical, but upon reflection, highly plausible.

One of the Quadrail series by Timothy Zahn? Yes, that would have been one of my recommendations, methinks.

    Regards,

I can't wait for season 2 Discovery of Witches, excellent series.
Wanted to tell you I opted to follow you, not sure why, might be the way you look at things, any way hope to see more of your wit as time goes on.

I had hoped to possess more wit, as time moved on. Sadly, I was disappointed. I suspect you will be, too ;) .
