This is my 2nd grow... First Grow was random Mexican seeds, my trial and error grow. Like the error of over watering!! This badly stunted two plants.
These are White Widows. I started with 10 of the smallest seeds from a batch of 30, which gave me 10 seedlings, but only 4 females.
Grow Conditions:
Soil: Roots Organic by Aurora
Containers: 3 Gallon Grow Bags
Water: Rain Water when I get it.. rarely in the Desert or quot;PH balancedquot; filtered water (drinking water).
Organic Bloom Fertilizer (Fox Farm)
Incoming air is drawn thru bathroom window by a powerful fan and the bath vent runs 24/7. I attached
furnace filter quot;wild berryquot; deodorant to the bath vent and at this point, it's the first smell that hits me when I open the door after their 12 hour dark shift. Will get charcoal filter if necessary..??
I mist daily with rain water or distilled water. Humidity is usually 40%.
Temp ranges from 77.5 to 86 (when the desert night doesn't cool down past 55 outside). Average temp is about 80..
First 2 Weeks:
They grew in 16oz Dixie Cups under 24/7 florescent lighting. At the end of 2 weeks I transplant each in 3 Gallon Grow Bags.
Next 4.5 Weeks:
They are under MH 400Watt light 18/6 until each plant showed it's sex. Then I switched the lighting to HPS at 12/12. Started fertilizing with Bloom Fertilizer at this time.
Plants are about 24 - 26quot; tall.
I am in my ninth week and have a couple questions.
Why do my stems look 'stronger' then some of the photos I have seen. My fan blows over the canopy, not directly on the plants. Does this take away from the bud growth?
Is it ok that I gently pulled the fan leaves back to expose the buds as shown in the pics. I have lost just a couple bottom leaves to yellowing.
Hopefully someone can give my some more pointers.
