Connection is very flimsy and unsafe. Don't do this way unless you can be sure that, #1, the plants can't touch it, and #2, you don't touch it. This is only temporary fan for me, and I'm very electrical savvy, so I'm not worried. But believe me, I do respect electricity. Be careful with exposed conductors, and treat them as live at all times, unless YOU lock the circuit open.
