My first grow. This guy ( I mean girl!!!!, hope this plant a guy!!!! lol) is my first plant ever. She is 13 days old. How does she look? growing her in a aerogarden right now. She came from a random bag of mids i got and even though
I have a couple bag seed plants growing in a 7 pod and they are doing just fine with their roots. I clean the tank and switch water once a week and all has been well. I'm sure it'd be easy to transplant them as long as their roots don't get too tangled up. You can even cut roots as long as you have some knowledge before just diving in ( I've learned the hard way )
Also, if there is nothing growi in the other pods make sure they get covered so no light gets in. I see you have the domes on them but can't tell if something else is there. If light gets in it'll create mold, fast! You can use anything, a golf ball even works .
Awesome! Yeah i haven't switched the water since i started growing it :-( I'm on day 13 with my oldest one that's just a bag seed but day 4 with my black Indica strain so i was trying to wait till i got my grow tent and bubbler in to transplant the day 13 one and let my BI strain grow a little more before i changed the water. Are your plants leaves dark green? Mine are and i know it might be a sign of a problem or its just that way because of the strain it is. Thanx for replying! I really appreciate it greatly! Your the bees knees
damn, great tip about the domes! i have like 30 golf balls so awesome, quick fix! You mind if i ask what kind of nutrients you use? i use FOXFARM grow big for the plant food every week and same brand BIGBLOOM every other watering. Seems to be working out, haven't got any yellow burns on the end of the leaves yet so fingers crossed. Again, thanx so much for helping me in this.
No problem, it's what this is all about! Helping, tips and going through grows together pretty much. Since yours are young and still have a lot of space to play with right now, water will be fine until you change your setup. As long as your plant is healthy and thriving, leaf shade shouldn't be a concern. One of mine are super dark and wide ( indica I believe) and the other is super bright green ( which I'm pretty sure it's a sativa) there are pictures on my profile for reference if you like. But yes get those pod holes covered asap. Check unit for mold before doing so as well just to be sure. Nutes I use is just the general hydroponics trip and the ph up and down. Nutes can't reach full potential of ph is wrong. Also I never use full strength and of course do a two week flush before harvesting. I don't expect nothing much from it and this is also my first time using an aero garden. It is relaxing watching them grow and do their thing though. Lol. I would definitely look into fimming and lst for these type of units as well if you decide to keep them in. It maximizes the use of your lights for sure! If you decide to not keep the plants in the unit, it would be great for clones!!!
Great tips! Ty very much. I checked out your plants on your page, they look great! I hope mine turns out to be that good lol So this mold thing, i have this claylike residue all over the bottom of my tank but nothing floating around in the water besides the roots. I'm attributing that to that BIGBLOOM i use since it contains earthworm castings, bat guano, and seabird crap. Do you think I'm right? If not, i have mold all over this thing :-( I hear you on the relaxing aspect, makes me want to switch my career to a damn botanist lol I replaced all the blank holes with the golf balls, thanx again for that tip because some of my roots where just shining away in the light.
