...just wanted to say that I never thought heavy metal had a chance at reaching a more esoteric audience until I heard the word 'eviscerate' used in a song. Never heard of Slayer until a party guest at my house left behind a cassette titled "songs from hell" found it a great cleaning-up-after-the-bash mix. One of my co-workers set me straight, "no, that's Slayer, Reign in Blood." Oh well, great shit to head bang and clean up after a party to...Saw you guys at Trout Air in '85? and Jeff you looked like you were going to fly right off that kit and into the sun (did I mention we were trippin'?)
Thanks for the inspiration, I've been the lyric-writing drummer for a local band and continue to keep my slaytanic dreams, no long blonde hair attached!
