It's a Thrip. Those are eggs, not trichomes. These are a problematic leaf sucking insect that do damage to many growers' gardens. You can see a video and look at more pics here:

Ooh I hate it. I am sorry that you're dealing with that. I keep nukem for such critters, it is made of citric acids and yeast and it disintegrates soft bodied devil's like this on contact, says you could use to day of harvest but I don't think I would. It is great stuff, no residual that you have to deal with later
