I did get a bag of blood and bone that got invested with some sort of worm/moth but I used it anyway.
As far as critters in the soil go, I know there is a decent number of worms living in the soil, there must be other life that has been seeded from the worm farm and compost bin, and anything that has decided to make it's home there.
haha, ok, the only thing for me would be birds, who will happily dig up and scatter the mulch everywhere looking for worms, I shoo them off to give them the idea the plants are out of bounds, and I have some bird netting over the mulch to help.
