OMG! Here in NZ we are having a referendum on legalising cannabis in a few weeks’ time. In the lead up public TV has been on a closed loop of family harm “it’s costing lives” nonsense.
Why is this film not compulsory viewing?! And why am I asking you?!
I can’t believe how angry I am. The truth is so simple! Unfortunately prohibition prohibits any rational conversation. You raise your voice, you identify yourself as a person of interest. FFS. to have a first world sulk at you, Rob of all people. My wife watched slack-jawed, I mean while resting it between shouting tirades. She wanted to hear more about Anslinger, DuPont and Hearst (we rewatched Citizen Kane just the other day), that led us down another wee bunny hole.
We are at a crazy time in history. It’s no coincidence the health of the planet has been in crisis without widespread, popular and normalised use of cannabis. (Multi system failure without it. Same thing happened to me. I digress).
You, sir have done the work of a Titan in putting this world back on its axis.
It must have been hard for you. For what it’s worth I want to thank you. It’s a remote whisper, blowing across the South Pacific and time, but thank you!
