Nutes and sucker leaves

I guess my problem is that I amuseing the wrong nutes or so i have been told.I use agricultural limestone"that dissolves in water and hi-yeild magnesium sulfate. Also I have been pinching off the sucker leaves so theydo not shade future buds .Am i doing this right? I hope someone gives mr e...
