The terpenoid profile of Cannabis flowers are determined by environment and heredity, producing a characteristic psychoactive effect, to that strain. Can we modify the stone by changing the terpene content post cure?
Essential oils from many different sources contain the same terpenes found in Cannabis resin. The one I am most familiar with is the organic solvent obtained from orange rind, D-Limonene. If you read about the terpenoid profile of strains that have a lemon scent you will see it it due to the high Limonene content.
Other essential oils, such as lavender or vanilla have different terpenes.
Would vapour deposition of D-Limonene onto cured buds alter the psychoactive properties of those buds? A curious mind wants to know. I guess I could do a search, but that takes all the fun out of hypothesizing.
