I Am new to the site and would appreciate some advice I'm growing grape ape they germinated 6 days ago and I have potted them in cups size pots. For being the same strain some have started there 2nd lot of leaves and are nice size and 2 of them are still small and only just starting to shoot 2nd lot of leaves??? I'm confused why they are slower? Oh and another thing on one set of leaves on slow grower one leave has come out and other hasn't?

I'm new at this to but on some that we have done it just works out that way sometimes .All plants won't be the same exact. Something in the dirt might have been just a little different ,who knows it happens .Mother Nature. If there growing I wouldn't worry to much about it.You might find the bottom leaves even may dry up and fall off or not .But it will turn out okay in the scheme of things.:peace:

They look just fine your looking to close at them right now .I don't know what kind you have planted but it really doesn't matter you treat them all the same anyway I have been so far. The little rounded leaf will be fine after a while it might fall off mine always have don't know why they just have but every thing comes up good. just give them a little nuits and water and sun,or a good grow light and they will be good. They don't really like being moved a lot so you might want to get the in the pot you want them in .I put mine in a bigger pot when they get about maybe 6" or so you can judge you don't want to shock it to much. Oh and don't for get not to water to much let the dirt dry out on top if you didn't already know.

I'm gonna transplant into bigger pots today I won't use newts till 3 weeks into veg my first grow was brilliant I got 3 1/2 oz on each plant. I'm using light mix fertilized soil so newts will start in a week these are only 1 1/2 week old

Just to echo Blue Eyes, each plant is different, some extremely so! I had one seed produce one round and one standard pointed leaf.

It normalized eventually, but for a time one side of the same plant was ahead of the other half... :yummy:

Another problem I think I have sets of leaves ready to come out it looks as if they cramming coz 2 sets are looking like 1 it's looks as if the leaf has 7 edges, weird?

Looking good Fitz87... They're growing fine!

Just for comparison, here's my week 6 shot of my greenhouse.

My best grower...

Mine range for 12 inches to 14 inches in height...

Thanks. That "best" is a cross named Julius Caesar and the shade leaves are as big as my hand. The monsoonal humidity and heat wave we have out west is suddenly driving them upward. Early this week they were compact and bushy.

What was my best yesterday when I took pics was just overtaken by another over night... It was a good inch shorter when I watered and today is an inch taller than my best yesterday, if that makes sense... Jack Herer today :bigtoke: and it's "spacy" meds!

No, I haven't done any cutting Fitz87, just the first single set of leaves after I transplanted to the large post because they turned yellow and were beginning to dry, so they were removed so the plants didn't expend energy trying save those while grow.

There just natural... I have two that still look more like yours, compact and bushy. In the last two weeks mine have accelerated in upward growth.

It is interesting to compare your indoor grow with my outside grow... Your plants are productive differently than mine.

Do your lights match the length of day, or are you forcing flowering?

I ask only to try and determine the variables between our grows, besides the indoor with lights VS outdoors in a greenhouse.

I haven't begun using nutrients yet, so mine are feeding off the Miracle Grow potting soil, so that may be another variable... Then different strains just grow differently.

I have three strains and all three grow differently too. I think it's variations within crosses. Sativas grow differently than Indicas and it's apparent some of my Sativa dom crosses have more dominance than others although all are "rated" at 55/45 Sativa/Indica.

Your babies look great, so don't change anything! More leaves equals more surface area for light absorption thus photosynthesis and growth... :yummy:

My leaves need plucking otherwise new leaves and bud sites won't attract any light as there shading them if mine stretched upwards in height I wouldn't worry so much but some are staying short and bushy it's frustrating they need to be taller than that for hitting there 4 week in veg this week. 2 have stretched tho. I have my lights on 18/6 at the mo. my first grow skunk #1 were awesome I got 3 1/2 oz off each 1 don't think be so much this time round but hey overnight can make a difference just wondering when

Excellent Fitz87!

Mine are all feminized auto-flowering and the packaging states at 8 weeks flowering begins. I'd add a link/picture but the growth is so dramatic right now, those pictured documenting Week 7 are outdated! I used a ruler for scale which was short as my tallest were over 2 foot tall... Today they are at 30 inches and appear to be slowing while all the secondary growth is beyond the shade leaves... Some shade leaves have turned sideways to allow light to the inside branches...

Yours are growing just as fast! Here's a link to my week 7 pics if you want to take a look, Week7 Slideshow by TacticalMan | Photobucket :yummy:
