I am growing in soil and using organic nutes. Plants are 4 weeks old and healthy and I had never tested the PH. The guy at grow store tells me it is very important to test PH in nutes before adding to plant. So I test the water before nutes had a PH of 7.9 and after i added nutes it dropped all the way to a PH of 5. I then add PH up to get it into ideal range of 6.5. Now i test the run off and it has a PH of 8 "WTF"! So my Quetions are what do I do now to get the ph back down and should I PH my nutes before adding to plant?
