Hey Folks! :welcome: Since this has been requested a few times, I figured I'd post it where everyone can see it! :thumb: Copied from a private message I sent, oh yea!

Hey man! No problem, all I do is take maybe a third of he cannabis I'll be soaking and decarboxylate it... I seal it in foil and stick it in the oven at about... Shoot, I think it's 220 degrees.. Fahrenheit of course.. Well, once its pre-heated put the bud in for about 15-20 minutes..

Lightly grind the non-processed buds, put in a glass jar ( taking out stems and seeds.. There maybe trichomes on the stems, but it will effect the taste to include them... Fair warning! You maybe able to use stems in quick washes... But I don't do that)... The decarbed bud will crumble without a grinder.. Just make sure your hands are clean .. Again, stems unwelcome... Also, the greater purportion of decarboxylate buds will have the potency higher faster... By this I mean that this process occurs naturally with cannabis.. But it takes a long time, and never fully.. I find a one third ratio keeps flavor while giving a nice bump to potency.

Cover with your solvent...don't worry about using to much, you cant thanks to the last step... Open the jar maybe twice a day, shake it about that too... Keep it in a dark, cold place too... Um... I let this soaking process go for a minimum of three weeks.. I've never gone longer than a month though. Then you strain ( try to get as much of the bud as possible out!) into a glass mason jar ( sterilized prior) and this is where it's really up to you.. The last step!

Leave the jar open in a well ventilated place... Keep a eye on it! Generally,if the bud is good I only evaporate off... About half, but it will depend on the quantity of solvent you use. Temperature and airflow can make it evaporate very quickly, so do be careful.

Put in brown dropper bottles! I use the 50ml ones as their droppers are 1ml and that's the target "one dose" I go for... After all this, you can add a little ground bud, or keif to it.. For flavor, or to kick it up... Whatever.

This is for sublingual use btw... A full 1 ml dropper under the tongue and hold for a few minutes.. It's pretty amazing, kicks in faster than edibles.. OMM has tried one of my more recent tinctures.. He was surprised at the qualities... Very different from vaping or smoking.. Much better in the mornings IMO.

So, to recap... You will need:
-Cannabis!
-Glass Jars!
-An Oven!
-Something to bake in (foil, baking dish, whatev)!
-190 proof alcohol!
-Something to filter with!
-Dropper Bottles!
-PATIENCE :Namaste:

Thank you, very interesting, buying such high alcohol is impossible here, we can only buy 80% proof

but we can buy and run a still here, and if you do it right, you can get a quart of 190 proof, and 3 quarts 150% to make your whisky or vodka whatever. I know they're illegal over there, which is kinda funny when you think about it, cause they are made in the States. :) They are apparently made there for essential oil makers, wonder what essential oil made with leaves of MMJ would be like. Food for thought :)

I'm just wondering why a cool place to let it brew, I know boiling it would/could be dangerous, nut I wonder about making it like I do with glycerine, and keeping warm on lowest setting in the often. I would think you need never take the lid off, until it was left to cool down before straining.

There is a electronic table-top distiller machine that I've seen videos of people running cannabis through alcohol in it.. Distilling out the "essential oils"... Once you evaporate off enough alcohol, just like evaporating tincture... You have cannabis oil... Just much cleaner through distillation.. You pick up less chlorophyll.

80% is perfectly acceptable.... Can't you run liquor in a still to up its proof? I thought I heard that... But its not necessary... Honestly, I think using hashish/ trichomes only would be the best.. Eliminate chlorophyll by eliminating plant matter! :)

Several ways to skin a cat... But why?

As you said, the danger is reason to steer clear of the heated stuff... I've tried it, it will make a faster tincture with less chlorophyll, etc...

I do believe the cold, dark temperature preserves the cannabinoids... Just like a dry & cure, you don't want to rush it... And you will be rewarded!

While safety is an issue for how I recommend things... I'll tell you, if there were a quality bump by doing a heated version... I'd be all over it. Obviously, I'm not.

Oh, fair enuff. Here they tip warmed alcohol through leaves and strain straight away, and evap off, that makes gold oil, then add more alcohol and let site for a few hours, strain, light green, then more alcohol and leave it for a few days the oil that is left after the evap, looks like tar when its done... that tar oil is usually what they sell, lots of chlorophyll, then put a small spot in aluminium make into a little pill thingy and spot it, (heating up knives)... I guess they do that everywhere, but here is one of the most popular uses for trim and shake. I never heard anyone do it when in the states, here you often see a couple of knives that have been ruined with dark or black tips, from spotting oil...

Anyway, I shared this post with someone here, and they have just made some up using your recipe, and gota couple of pictures :) and posted pictures starts about post 10 04 12 (think https://www.420magazine.com/communi...making-tincture-everclear.180875/post-1646682

Thats interesting! Yea, OMM has mentioned ways of making Hashish Oil like that... Even a more dangerous method!

Cannabis oil varies it seems... Once you evaporate all the alcohol away that is (or whatever solvent).. In color, I mean. I've seen gold, red, black, green (green probably is always contaminated with a lot of plant matter)... But hey, why shouldn't they? Our girls are pretty unique.
