Hello out there

Hi-
My name is Jill. I joined today because I am conducting my 1st grow for medical reasons. I have PTSD, CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) previously known as RSD (reflex sympathetic dystrophy), herniated & bulging discs, and I suspect back mice (fatty tumors protruding through the facia in the lower lumbar/sacroiliac region) and IBS.
I am 48 years old and was a police officer for 17 years. Prior to that I had and have cultivated an interest in herbcraft, which led me to become a solitary practicing pagan with a Catholic upbringing.
I have an adult son who imbibes recreationally and a truck driver husband who abstains because the CDL his job requires him to have. I also have a 17 year old daughter who had tried weed outside our home but doesn't have a big interest in it.
I haven't smoked weed recreationally since the 80's, and boy have things changed! I am still a rookie smoker (breathing issues as well) and am looking into a water bong type device to make smoking easier. Vapes are not for me, they make me choke. I have tried edibles and they work well, but they take a while to kick in & put me to sleep when they do. I am still pretty toasted when I wake up the next day, making it tough to get stuff done.
The pain clinic which treats me for the CRPS basically just prescribes opioids for pain management, they are marginally effective at controlling pain and are devastating my GI. I get steroid injections for my back and trigger point injections as well.
My CRPS is in my left foot. I get severe muscle cramping in my left thigh to knee. I tried muscle relaxers which were ineffective. The Tens unit I have addresses the cramping 100 times more effectively than any pill I've tried.

So all this medical crap has brought me here and now. I am growing out CBD Critical Cure, CBD Painkiller, Gold Rush and Original Skunk (Gold Rush was a freebie and my son gave me the skunk seed and asked me to work it). I had Afgani as well, but it had early root issue and never lost the "claw" I took some cuttings and the clones are growing out normal.

My profile pic is my Critical Cure plant, and she is a beauty. I may do an abbreviated grow journal at some point, but right now I am trying to scour info on keeping my plants healthy through flowering and how to harvest and cure.
One of my good friends has fibro and multiple failed ankle surgeries and we are both interested in topical applications. Another friend and my aunt has MS and my beloved neighbor was diagnosed with bladder cancer.
Cannabis is so relevant to many people I care for and is something positive to focus on while fighting for disability and battling depression and anxiety.

Oh and CRPS also damages the frontal lobe which regulated mood and memory, so if I seem fragmented its because that is how my brain works right now, hopefully to improve in the near future.

lastly, Cannabis is not the only plant I dig, my husband calls them my science experiments. I have gardened throughout my life and I cultivate kitchen scrapes from pineapples to scallions and haven't bought any kitchen herbs in years. I save all my jars and they are peppered through my house with thing growing in them. My granddaughter just had her 7th birthday and I gave her a vintage bonsai planter we have planted her lemon tree in and we are hunting interesting mosses to give the tree some ground cover.

If you've taken the time to read this, thank you. I wish you well on the path that has brought you here. Please feel free to chat with me or comment (I haven't figured this site out yet) , but also know I could improve on my consistency so if I don't respond its because...oh look, a squirrel. Next time I'll figure out pictures and include some of my girls.

Sorry about your medical status, Cant imagine ssd being an issue.. But to your plants, isn't the sun wonderful... Those are fantastic looking. You want a powerful harvest? Is that the question ? Well I only use a couple nute lines so all I would suggest is mighty grow bloom. You can pick it up online at best organics for about 20 bucks. I'm not affiliated with them I just enjoy the products. Also some molasses wouldn't hurt.
