First time blog

Hello people!!
I am writing this as a newbee and am currently having a nightmare. I know being new to all this there will be a lot of ups and downs but I am having my fair share of downs already. First I bought my ph tester and ec tester and these both worked once then broke. Second I thought I would try hydroponics so bought oxi pots and could not keep ph or ec stable so decided on soil. Only realising that it was my testers that were broken in the first place. Thirdly I started my grow in soil when my timer decided to break and not turn on my light for 48 hours. Now I have realised that my babys have not grown at all in the last week which I think is because I was using miracle grow on the advice of a friend. Forthly I have now made the drastic decision to change the soil and when taking my babies out of the miracle grow there has been no growth in the roots at all (they are still in the jiffys) I really wanted to try this out and tasting my own grown at the end would have been the icing on the cake but i'm now getting a bit down about the whole thing. Is this a normal start or am I just not cut out for this?
hello people
I am coming to the end of my third week as a horticulturist. I have had so many ups and downs in these last couple of weeks I think I may have lost a bit more hair. I would like to thank everyone for there help and would like to say that the information here has helped out a lot over the last few weeks. I am gonna put pictures of my babies on here and would like any comments please. I have two blue cheese that have been grown in miracle grow the rest are in canna proffesional they are all under a hps 600w cool tube for 18/6. i had thrips thats why i have covered the surface of the soil in perlite to stop them laying any more eggs and sprayed the crop once and not seen another since.

Just Simmer down now!
No one starts out an expert in any field especially a horticulturist, take the advice received, make notes and keep at it. If you do I guarantee you will be an expert in a couple years...

Never give up, bruh! There's lots of good advice in forums like this website. on your next grow, remember the more prepared you are before you start, the better your outcome will be. Do a lot of research then write out a plan. More likely than not you'll always run into roadblocks, it's how you attack them that you can mitigate any damages. Good luck, bro

I'm back again with more news about my first grow. I am now on week 9 and have had my babys on flower for just under 3 weeks everything seems to be going ok at the moment, the girls seem to have responded well to going into flower I have now started feeding them canna flora which is meant to be for hydro grows but with the help of this site I found out that I could use it for soil grows as well. I have also got my 600w cooltube as close as I can to my girls to encourage dense nugs which I also found out whilst reading through forums on here. I dont think I could have got to this stage without the help of people who have taken time to write about there experiences. I am gonna put some more pictures on so as usual let me know what you think and any comments will be taken and used to the best of my abilities.

hello people I'm back again. I am currently on week 11 of my grow and I had a bit of a scare yesterday. I went to check on the girls and they looked a little down in the dumps and a couple of leaves on the blue cheese had gone a bit yellow but after watering and checking on this site about problems I have found out that some leaves can go a little yellow due to a nitrogen defficency which is apparently normal for this stage in the grow if anyone has any other ideas please let me know .So now hear are more pictures
