hi, i'm new cannabis grower and i do not have a green thumb at all. so please, take my stupidity with ease, this is my first grow and i am growing one plant and i actually have no idea what strain it is or if its male or female :/ i am well aware that it is a ruderalis because of the leaves. Its been growing since 4/25/ it is now 5/22 and it is looking healthy enough but it does not have a lot of leaves on it. i have not applied nutrients to it what so ever, but the soil mix i am currently using is doing a half decent job. i water it once a day and my lighting is pretty good. I'm just wondering how far am i going to get without nutrients and will my yield be decent? That is if it is a female.

Do you have any pics?

So you've been vegging for a month (from 4/25 - 5/22), haven't yet added any nutrients (not a problem if the soil is good), and you water daily? Apparently watering daily is not such a good thing. Water till you have about 20% run off then don't water again for several days until the soil dries up somewhat. This makes the roots grow and seek out water, which they won't do if they are constantly drowning in water.

Also what's your light like? Your plant won't grow big and strong if you have a weak light.

As for yield I don't think anyone could give you a proper answer because it depends on so many factors, such as light, heat, humidity, watering, soil, nutrients, drainage, pests, and so on.

Have good time with the first plant .... be careful it will become a addiction shortly, One plant leads to two to four to eight to 16 .......
I do remember starting with my first set of plants .. here is a few hints from a old 50 year old that has played with this for many a years.

1. Order good Genetics to start or find a strong set of seeds that you know what you have, If you start with a good strong seed (female) you have about 1/3 of the hard work out of the way. Dont get silly get a normal strain to start. I started with the Hawaii Strains from a Seed bank - good clean easy to grow plant.
2. i would grow 3 to start, that way you can play with each one differently to lean the plants and how they respond (example Top one, LST another, Leave one go hog wild.
3. Going to get bashed for this comment, I think the whole nutrient thing is a massive internet marketing money making scam. Just learn the basics to start - What Nitrogen does, Phosphorus, Iron, Etc. Trust me there is not a hydroponics store out in the wild where a bear brings in 200 dollars worth of stuff to pour on them all the time.
4. Equipment is the key: Like above you need good pots, Good lights, clean water, and My view a ton of Air.
5. A mistake most of us have done, don't over parent the plant, let it grow. don't force it - Nature will do the job, You just guide it and

You will get the hang of it - As for Yeilds there is not answer - Its like the final gift from the plant, It will be a suprise based on your hard work and nature - NOBODY here can tell you a yeild unless they know your complete set up and exactly what you do.

I grow Snow White a Med plant under top of the line conditions, with large plants it tops out about .85 Grams per watt of light in 5 gallon Air pots - with half ass nutrients and tons of care -
In English about 3/4 of a pound per plant

thank you for the advice, i didn't order any seeds for this plant my friend just gave me four seeds and told me the basics about a decent pot, lighting and watering etc, what he told me was that this plant would not grow bigger than two foot which was was best for my setup since i dont have a personal grow room i have 3 foot of growing space and my light is a simple 100WW
