New to 420 Magazine

I'm starting this to keep track of things. I've now been growing for a year now. My mom got sick last November and smoking weed would make her feel better. I decided to grow her own stash and it was pretty fun. We both enjoyed watching the girls grow. It help out a little during her struggle but she succomed to the ilness 1 year later. I'm proud that she got to see my first 2 crops and may i say, they were grown with love and pure intent to help my mom.
Now that she is gone don't want to stop growing. I spent endless nights reading up on how to grow wile she was sick. It would take me out of that helpless feeling place and I felt like I was doing "something" to help. It was and still is my escape.

The odds of getting a great looking plant is from my experience in the seed. I've been reading allot of threads that all to often the grower thinks he is doing something wrong when all it comes down to is that it's a "dud", a misfit with a bad genes. Seeds are like children. You can raise 2 or 3 good ones but there is always that one stragler who just isn't right. You love them just the same, but you know there just not what you planed on.

Same with my Afghan. All the seeds are from the same parent plants but they differ in look smell and taste. It reminds me of Darwins theory of evolution.

Now I have two females from my parent plant that look totally different. One is showing signs of Indica and one is showing signs of Sativa. Now my science driven brain is going mad with possibilities. I will start a thread about this to explore the minds of our 420 colleges.

I had picked out the healthiest male for pollen collection but it never occurred to me to pay attention to the sativa or indica dominant traits.

Does this mean the mother seeds I got from my supplier, that were suppose to be Pure Afghani "The Original Landrace" were tainted with other DNA?

My mind wonders ass the sweet smoke from my latest Lemon Kush invades my thoughts.
