I know a little about growing, not too much, but enough to help beginners. Are you a caregiver?

Yes i am. Full legal here in my state.
I grow in DWC. would like to learn more of other methods.
I have been growing since well let just say 2008 cause that when your state legalize it.lol
I have did dirt but since i found out about DWC i havent gone back.
I want to start cross breeding differnt strain. Still doing research on it and how to get feminized seeds
I want to do that just for fun.Cause i like to experment with stuff.
I guess i could take some hortorculturre class at U of M. But cost alot of money. So I try to learn everything i can on what I'm doing cause Knowlege is power!!! And can't be taken from us!!

That's awesome...to be legal. I am using soil right now, but want to take clones and start them with DWC. I watched TeSmp's journal, and WOW did he do awesome. 8 ozs in 3 months from 1 plant. When I was getting my bachelors in biology I took a plant biology class as well, this has helped me with my grows. If you have any tips with DWC I would love to hear some, as this is going to be my first venture into hydroponics. It just seems more expensive (pH meter or pH drops, air pump etc)

Well kool I would like to hear about some biology on plant. I really was thinking of taking a botney class myself. My buddy and frist learded about DWC we was like wow. We need to try this. But we didnt have properknowlege on water system,how they work or ph and ppm. straight up failer for a bout a year.

Will let just say we started ask around about DWC and was given some pointers. about ph and that was a must.we didnt care about ppm at that time. We just knew that ph was importent. And then came the nutrients. It was like band your heads agaisted the brick wall. I'm not sure how but we meet this guy that did hydro systems never seen his set up ,but did tell us to get the grower bible!! For a better understand about water system. But we was like hey we are using buckets. No tubes or elaberit setup.Just a bcket with a lid . well let say now we learn about air stone and flushing weekly. Damm did we learn alot in the first two years of this.

MY buddy was ready to give up on DWC and stay with dirt. It work but we was really wanting to know more about. Then one day it all click! We had the veg down good by this point. we had a little trouble with folwering stag cause we was still learning about up take and when to add certain nutrients.

On are first I say again on are frist real from start to finish. We was hook!! It was like I was blind and now i can see!!. the results where amazing!!

So we got comtpuer and got the internet and look up every thing on anything that would help us.

The ph and ppm tester i use. I bought from ebay for like $12 . and i now only check the ppm when i do my water changes only!! ph about 3 times a week. just look at the plant and if they look healthy. then most likly they are.

But research everything on strains to room and set for your needs. And if you have the money I guess buy everything you neeed at once. But like me I dint have that i colleted my gear little by little.

But my DWC is very simple and i like it that way! Jsut a bucket with a 6inch pot lid a air pump for like fish tank and a air stone. Eco sell reall good ones for cheap and the seem to last alot longer then the white or blue ones. And pick your Nutrients of choice.There alot out there!
