Where did the time go?

So much has happened since I last wrote. The new grow was smaller then I hoped for but had a problem with fungus gnats. I think they came in the new soil I was trying from "Dairy Doo". They had come up with a formula for us growers here in Michigan but I guess i'll just go back to using what I did in the beginning. It means using more fertilizers but the gnats ate my roots and there for the buds were affected. Out of 11 plants only got 7 dried z's compared to the 1.3 pounds in January. I bought some Azamax for this grow and drenched them and put sand on the top, but i'm still seeing maybe 1 bug every two weeks. But the Buds are doing double compared to last time. I also had 3 of the same seeds (Big Bud/ White Widow cross) that went to seed somehow in the last 2 weeks of the grow and got a few seeds on the later ones with them but was still great smoke. I through out the rest of them damn seeds too!
Whats been happening to keep me to busy:
In June I had stopped to my daughters and she said she was going to put her son into foster care so I made the decision right then to bring him home with me. Can't go into all detail's but our daughter just can't live with some of the things that the kid went through when he was young cause they were her fault. When a child (even as young as 24 months) gets hurt and they know the parent is there but didn't come stop it (Cause she was drunk) they can have a deep seeded resentment towards that parent and they don't know why and in the end don't respect them and act up. He has always been well behaved with us so I guess we'll just adopt him and then he'll have the security he craves. Well enough of that! Ended up giving the kid my new grow room and had to build one in our bedroom and then another grow room outside in the shed for vegging. This new grow will be done in three weeks. 9 of them this time. We installed a can fan in this room and it's totally 100% light leak proof. I blacked out the window with a strong black & white plastic on the frame around the glass and I can open them for natural light if I want. The 6 in duct goes out another window but with winter I guess I'll just vent it over our bed. Nothing like smelling my grow while sleeping, besides the oxygen is a plus for the hubby. I also put in of those new CO2 bags in there and the ones right underneath it seem to be getting bigger then the ones directly under the lights. But I don't think it will last 6 months like they say. I have 11 more ready to go as soon as these are done and then I think I'll start from seeds again since I can't use my other new (veg) grow room since it's not heated out there. Well FRIENDS, got to get up and get him off to school so until next time Keep it safe and grow like mad! :thanks:
