Week two was an adventure. Two of the pants are doing pretty well. My Bio Diesel and Critical are very strong plants. Both are showing multiple sets of leaves and doing really well in the hydro set up.
I started off a very low nutrient set up around 600 ppm of a growing nutrient. I am too lazy to get the bottle and tell more info but if anyone wants it I will post it. I plan on bumping the nutrients up every week or so around less than 100 ppm a week. I have read lots of people over fertilize and harm their plants so I am easing into it.
I moved the Northern lights into the hydro too soon. It's growth slowed a lot and then the leaves started to turn brown. Luckily I have been checking often so I think I can save it. I put some root hormone on the root and moved it back into an earth cube to give the root a chance to strengthen a bit before trying to put it back into hydro.
I wanted to have 4 plants for my first grow, I thought it will give me a good amount and should be pretty easy to keep track of 4 plants. Getting my 4th plant has been a battle. I had a few seeds not sprout I damaged the root on one and killed it and was not excited about it. I decided to start another Bio D seed because the first one did so well. The second Bio D sprouted well but I damaged the root again when transplanting it. Luckily I had went to Lowe's and picked up some root hormone from the garden center. I rolled the damaged root into the powder and put it into an earth cube anyway. After about 48 hours the plant recovered from me fat fingering it and almost killing it.
Hopefully by the end of this week I will have 4 babies in hydro soaking up that goodness.

The pumps on the set up I purchased are super quiet, I can't even hear them over the sound of the fan that is already running. The noise level of the set up was a concern of mine living in an apartment. With the fan and pumps running the whole set up is no louder than my air purifier or the osculating fan I have. Still have not received my grow bulb so everything is still going on in the lower section of the cabinet.
