To those Lucky Recreational States: Here are some Suggestions from an old hippie

:peace:This is an open letter to the younger generation. If You live in the states that legalized weed for recreational use, Colorado and Washington, I salute you. You lucky dog!

Make sure that you do not spoil it for the rest of us!
Everyone is watching and many want you to crash and fail.

Here are some suggestions:

Respect the herb. You have been brainwashed, forget all of the misconceptions.
1. No matter what they tell u, you do not need to smoke the whole blunt. This is a gentle herb that can teach YOU a few things if you allow it. Do not treat it like a pharmaceutical. Don’t act like a bull in a china shop. You do not have to beat it into submission.

Discard that “more is better” mentality you have grown up with. Weed was not meant to be on steroids.

2. You know that 5 shots, two blunts, 6 Budweiser, still can’t get enough, desperate recreation you are used to? No longer necessary.

3. Now that you are in a legal state, start growing your own if you can. The less chemicals the better. Again, you do not need a whole field. The reason is that you will hopefully be smoking much less.

4. Aim up. For a happy feeling. Yes, I said it. HAPPY. Think Beetle VW with flowers. Think butterflies and no fear. This is a herb that the universe has given you. Enjoy.

I know how its not cool to feel happy from the inside out. Its ok. Don’t tell anyone what you are thinking. Hell, suppress that smile that comes from the inside out. No one has to know.
:Namaste:

Most of all Dance as if no one is watching. I mean this literally. Put that Pandora up with happy dancing songs. No “humping your bitch and I’ll get you in the alley” kind of music. I mean the old School, or classic rock, there has to be some light in the universe” kind of vibe. Also, hey, Smoke Responsibly. You lucky dogs.:circle-of-love:
