Ok guys! Sue had mentioned to me a whole back that one of the members uses a car in the hot sun to really bake the liquid out of the oil. That got me to thinking about how I could replicate that in the winter, inside, and without a car. This is what I came up with. Oil slicks and a double boiler style setup with a hot plate. I only wish I had another matching pie plate to put over the other plate as a dome to keep the heat in, which would replicate a hot car better. This is what I have, and it will work marvelously!

Here is the oil scraped out of the pie plate and put on this silicon slick. It's not quite ready to smoke at this point. There is still a bunch of remaining solvent in it.

Here it is on the pie plate in the water bath.

She just had to take a selfie... smdh

And here she is after I took it out to check it. It cooled very quickly when I set the slick on the cold counter.

Baking again. It wasn't quite the desired consistency.

Now that it is more liquefied, I'll get it to spread over the mat to cool.
