Good morning, Sue!   I have lots of questions today...How come you didn't use the Magic Butter machine for the DDA2 oil? Also, do you have a recipe written out for the 36-hour oil? (I have your slow cooker recipe bookmarked but I guess I missed this one.) And finally, roughly what dosage is recommended for the oil made from fan leaves?

:thanks:

:circle-of-love:
. Morning Fuzz. I didn't use the MB2 because it was just a half cup of oil. I feel that's too small a volume for the MB2.

The 36-Hr brew:

1/2 cup of coconut oil (or other carrier oil)
2-7 grams of good bud material (the higher the THC the better)
1 Tablespoon of liquid sunflower lecithin

- reduce the plant material to fine but not powdery. You want to keep the plant material from working through the filtering material, so avoid powder.

- Place oil, 1/2 Tablespoon of the lecithin, and plant material in a tightly-lidded jar. You'll be shaking this vigorously throughout the cooking time and you don't want leakage.

- Preheat the oven to its lowest setting. Take all but one rack out and place that one in the center.

- Give the jar a good shake. Place the jar on a baking sheet (there will be minor leakage) and set an alarm for one hour. When the alarm goes off reset it for another hour and give the jar a shake. Be sure to have a pot holder. The lid will be hot.

- The first day shake the jar every hour. The second day do that every time you think of it.

- At the halfway point take the jar out of the oven and let it cool. Maybe put it in the fridge when it's cool enough to let the vapors settle before you open it up. This is the point when you want to add the rest of the lecithin. After stirring it in, close it all back up and toss it back in the oven.

- At the end of 24-36 hours strain and use.

This recipe gives me the most fragrant and tasty oil. I figure that means I'm retaining more of the entourage.

Now to find the dose. I'm starting off with three. I'll wait 90 minutes before adding any more. It's been 20 minutes and I'm starting to get tingly body rushes. :laughtwo: Let me have some breakfast and see what it feels like then.
