Spider Mite Experiment Update and lighting ?s

Well the rotten little buggers are still gone,:cheertwo: Yea TEAM! But now I have a question for anyone in the know.... This past winter was a real beastie from the REMC utility when it came to the electric bills,(everyone got a buggering!). I've been running a 1000 watt HPS light on a 12/12 timer on 240 volts as that is cheaper than 110. Right? My grow room is an 8x8x8 building, insulated with a concrete floor and insulated walls. It was once the old pump house. I have an upper and lower set of fans for ventilation in the hot weather and a 12 volt computer whisper fan mounted at the socket end of the reflector housing to blow ambient air across the bulb to help heat the space. NOW.... I have 4 100 watt solar panels I use to charge deep cycle batteries to run a couple of 12 volt incandescent bulbs in my house. Does anyone here have any experience with 12 volt LED's? I'd like to keep the building's heat signature as low as possible and my lighting costs the same way. Growing outdoors is a risk as there will soon be morel trespassers all over the place. Any input will be appreciated, Ralph:peace:
