I wouldn't change a single thing on your plants bro. they look perfect.

But on the OG/chemdog types, try full strength Brix every 5 days.

And ill go ahead and say it...learn to use brix strategically. Pay attention to what it does to each plant and either adjust it for each plant or find a happy medium...I find the happy medium. Brix is strong stuff, inappropriate use will be noticed lol. Ive found its the best tool in my garage :)

I can't give you the scientific reasons Sue but ive noticed that if you give them too much or too little there is a noticeable lasting difference. May only be 3 days or so...but...if you don't see your plant doing better after the adjustments in 3 days, I say, you need to tweek your brix sprays :cheesygrinsmiley:

I love learning, and you obviously know what you're talking about.

I look for posture, serrations in the leaf, and slight changes in color...well...and the way she smells. If there's no noticeable different smell in a week...adjust either your drenches or your sprays. Can't say which way to adjust cuz I feel its different for every plant

Superbly healthy, POTENT cannabis. We both know what that bud is going to do. I like your timing on the drenches. I'm going to be paying close attention to see how you do with the "flat spot" after the Cat Drenches. We get that ironed out on all strains and we'll have something.

I had zero flat spot, added no epsom and used no Super Drench on the Colombian. It's like the polar opposite of an OG.

i gotta do DP's F13 seeds next.

Anyways, you have the nicest plants on the forum right now!

Thanks Doc, that means alot coming from you!
Im just waiting on the trans, ge and tea to get here and theyre getting SD'd along with some recharge. Ill add the recharge and top off with some new soil then Super Drench it with epsoms. Seems like alot for each plant I know, but I can tell I'm riding the deficiency line. If I don't get it beat this time I guarantee I will next...we'll see I reckon

I just gave them 5 mils of cat, a tablespoon of epsom salt and 2 mils of tea each. I put all the feed mixed in a gallon of water down the top and a gallon of just water up through the bottom.
Oh, thats the first cat drench. I cant mention what I do differently with my soil bro
If I put something out there and someone tries to do what I do, and it fucks up their plants or they don't get the results I do...well, it makes me look like the bad guy. Not to mention I'd feel like a jackass for fuckin someones dreams up lmfao!!!!

re: Scrubbys Rare Darkness - Rare Dankness #1 x Grape Ape in Doc Bud's Kit
Ill start saying what I do but if someones grow doesn't look like mine after doing what I do...I dont wanna hear about it! I mean, im not performing miracles or anything, im just tweaking the amounts of drenches and the timing of both feeds and foliars! Pay close attention to the upper 1/3 of the plant. It seem that that's where things change if theyre going to change, first. I noticed my serrated edge tips were starting to curl up a tiny bit. That's when I started my epsom regimen at a teaspoon per water/feed every 5 or 6 days. It looked like it was working for a while but changed for the worse. I figured the soil needed a "reset" and that's when I did a heavy trans/tea/epsom feeding then sprayed brix at a heavy concentration 2 days later. Now...not a single tip is curled. So!!!! I figured that out, for that strain, in MY soil! Can't say thatll work for anyone else but it worked for my rare darkness

Get what im sayin?

I spray brix every 5-7 days or when they look just happy lol. I adjust between 75% and 100% at different times during growth, whether young in veg, mature in veg, the early flip and when theyre mature in flower. They love that brix if youre careful with it.

You're quite the source of knowledge here scrubby. You've been giving us invaluable access to your brain, and I'm sure I speak for us all when I say thank you.

I'll come up with more questions.

I was on my way to bed when I remembered I'd asked you this. Glad I checked. Good night scrubby.

Well, you can say ive been blessed with common sense and the military taught me "attention to detail". Ive noticed over time that ive become in tuned with my plants. If I open the tent up and im not blown away by the initial sight, I know something's off and immediately try to feel what the plants are saying. Sounds corny I know but thats just how it is...and it works! Ive said it before...if you treat your soil better than you treat the "plant" things will come together. Im fixin to have a look at what the girls are doing after their Cat drench yesterday...photos tonight maybe

I totally get the idea of being blown away when you open the tent. Those very first impressions are so important. With me it's just continuing to build on experience. My current youngsters are doing their best to demonstrate how effective the kit is when life gets way too much in the way. I'm hankering for the next cycle to start so I can see the real potential in my own tent instead of just admiring your handiwork. [/I]

I actually built up the plants tolerance for brix over time. Going from light mix (.5 per oz)every 7-9 days to a medium mix (.75 per oz)every 5-7 days to a bit over recommended mix every 5 days (1.25/1.50 per oz of water). Todays brix feed will probably be 1.5 mils/oz. If they don't like that theyll get 1.25mils/oz next time...in 5 days
