The Cannalytics Test Kit

I like the Kit, but it does take some trial and error a Bit.

• 1. My Jar was warped, not level, so my 1st run all tilted to the side. So be sure and check level on yer jar. Rick said he had never heard that before and is sending me another one
• 2. The Oil has been a Challenge. Today Ill try it in a couple ways. No heat on the sample drop, see if it dosent run so much as it develops. A smaller sample drop, like above, see if it helps
• 3. The Angle of the plate in the Developing jar is KEY. I used a Mason Jar, Similar to provided Jar, but the angle of the Plate was way off. The results didnt fit on the plate, meaning they wicked off the top of the plate. I made a Little Cardboard 30deg cutout to use to be sure the angle is correct
• 4. Dont get the Pro Kit, the tools are nicer, but not really needed. Save that $50 and get more Plates. I think Ill have plenty of fluid to do 5 or more plates

The Customer service as been great, seriously he answers email in like 5min. That to me is huge. The Manual is a bit vague, and I hope to help him add some key Info to it. I know there is more STuff to add to my list above so when I do my testing again Ill edit it



Gunna test some oil and the CBDutch Treat today. Ill have more Plates landing this weekend

Ok so the Buds at 100mg.. got That, for some STUPID reason for the Oil I had 50ml in my foggy old brain, Im ya.. should be 50mg, was only off by 10x.. ish

They talk about edible testing at 100mg, and Im assuming the Oil is a CCO not Infused Oils. Rick says they dont get great results from CCO's

Well... all my new supplies from Cannalytics Supply landed Yesterday. Free Stuff and Replacement Jar, again Great Customer service

As you can see above, I've had a few challenges. Some is me being Hard headed and MUST have results...LOL

The test system is pretty Good, but, its not like yer getting a Full Test results like from a Testing Facility. I think the results are good for a grower Like Me who wants to see the Basics of where his plants/buds are based on The expected Genetics and results that breeder has depicted on the strain.

Its does seem to work pretty well on flowers, fresh not fully cured and older dry cured Buds.
Oil's are a challenge. I think it took me till the 8th plate/test to finally get a result

So this is my Final Plate, Plate #8, Now I F'd up 2 plates myself, one was a Bad Angle Test in Jar, One the Corner of the plate Broke when I was heating It, remember its glass...LOL. The Other Plates id say 1/2 had descent results for the Flower but I had not figured out the Oil sampling which I believe now I have, Finally...LOL

I did 3 tests yesterday, 1st was the Busted Plate, second was a test of the Angle of the Plate in the Jar, it was a fail. I determined with a level Jar, and a bit extra Compound in the jar, the standard Angle works the best. I placed about 2.4ml of stuffs in the Jar to help it wick up the plate

Lest see what we came up with

Rows as Indicated on this Pic

The area left of Row A was a contaminate, looks like maybe a piece of flower hit the Plate
A = Kilamanjora, Aprox 15-20% THC minimal CBD
B = ACDC, High 15-20% CBD, Minimal THC
C = CBDutch Treat, High CBD/THC, assumed about 15% of Each, No real % Data available
D = FHO Oil, CBDutch Treat, 140gr Flower into 2c Olive Oil

As you Can see, there is some Good Info here, and even the Oil looks, well, descent


Based on Pic3 we can determine a few Things. Having this test Plate, using strains I already had a good idea of the THC/CBD levels, really helped to Identify the info I was getting from the Tests

Rows A,B and C all where fresh buds, 100mg, and heated on the plate. I assume heating decarbs the material for the testing. You can do a Cold test to determine other results, I did hot tests to determine THC and CBD levels


In Row A, you can see the Kilamanjaro has a HIGH THC, estimate its at about 15-17% and no noticeable CBD. That said, if you look at the orange Arrow it shows a decent amount of CBG(top Orange) and CBC(bottom Red). Not sure if this is an anomaly or is a normal result. In both Row B and C the same CBG/CBC show less than the Kilimanjaro

In Row B, you can see the High CBD in the top Orange Circle and a very light red below of THC. This is exactly as would be expected from the Strain since hardly any noticeable HIGH is achieved from ACDC

In Row C, the results here are typical with what I had seen in previous successful results. A Good THC Level, Id say in the 10-15% range and a Good CBD level of around 8%. This is consistent with the smoking of CBDutch Treat, more of a High than ACDC but much less than the Kilimanjaro or other low to no CBD strains.

In Row D, here is where the System dosent really do a very good Job. Tested 45-50mg of oil, no heating of the oil. This, by far, is the best results of the Oil yet. Now they say by using a 1ul sample of oil's, 2ul used in the Flower tests, that since an oil is concentrated that a 4x or 5x factor is needed to actually determine the Results. So assume that spot is 4x as big...LOL.
You can see a decent % of THC, and a presence of CBD halo'd in the top of the result.

All in all its a decent testing system for Flower, it will work for Oil, but not sure I can get a realistic comparison of FHO vs standard 36hr Infusion.

The Lower Parts show the Acids, still Not sure what that means, and Oxidation or Age and Freshness of the sample

It Appears the flower sample are fairly Fresh, well the CBDutch Treat is for sure, the ACDC looks the oldest, and is, and Kilimanjaro seemed pretty fresh as well. Nothings shows up for the Oil as you can see
