I've been home sick with a head cold since April 7 so I haven't gotten high recently. However, my husband was given about 3 grams of Purple Kush from a work friend and suggested I try it today. He's working and I'm on my own so I thought I would give it a go. Since I do have a cold, I decided that vaping it would be best so as to not irritate my throat. I had about 8 hits of it at 4:11 and immediately felt high. I haven't had anymore since and it's 5:32 p.m. now and I can still feel the buzz. It's definitely a different buzz than I've had recently with Muerte, definitely more of sativa high than an indica high.
I haven't been listening to much music this week as the quiet has been preferable while not feeling well and although I have the tunes on right now, I'm not enjoying it as much as I usually do, which is a bit of a bummer since cranking up the tunes while high is one of the best parts of being high.
My husband keeps bringing home different kinds of pot and other cannabis products for me to try. I'm never going to get through all of it. My favourites continue to be the last batch of hash he got me (last March, I think) that I'm still working my way through. I tend to eat it when I have a free day to get high during. Haven't done that in awhile though. Maybe when I'm on vacation in May, I'll get a chance. And, I love the Muerte he got me. It's such a mellow stone.
When I was the most miserable with my cold, totally congested and coughing up a lung, I wondered if there were any kinds of cannabis that would help relieve cold symptoms?
9:41 p.m. - So it turns out that I don't particularly enjoy being high when I can't stop coughing. I ended up watching TV most of the evening and not vaping any more of the Purple Kush. When I feel better, I'll try it again. I'm going to bed now and hope I can get some sleep lying down, which hasn't happened much over the past week due to my cough.

General Thoughts:
- Did I tell you I bought 2 tickets to the Guns N' Roses show in Toronto in July? I initially got 2 tickets during the GNR presale for Nightrain members but they're in the nosebleed seats at the Skydome so when the rest of tickets went on sale to the public, DH got us 2 tickets on the floor. We're giving the nosebleed tickets to his brother and cousin. I hope that Axl shows up and the concert is worth it for the price we paid for the tickets.
- I also ordered 2 tickets to see The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe the same week. One of the guys at work said that the two shows are so extremely opposite that it doesn't make sense but my boss totally got it, probably one of the reasons we get along so well.
