OK let talk about molasses! Is it a good ieda?

Ok I have been talking to some old timers and give me a good tip. They have doing this for years now. They said during weeks 3 through 7 is the best time to add it. but I'm not 100% on this myth. but they did give me a ratio and this came fro 4 differnt men that dont even know each other. so here's the ratio shot glass to a gallon.

well we all know that it about 30ml to 3.78liters. that for those who don't know
I might try it out on my next grow just on one plat to see if there a differnts. If anyone out has heared of this please post your thoughts and findings.

K on hydro thats a big no!! What tends to how as i watch is if you add it to your water and diluted it. It will make the surfes of the buckets and water lines and most importent the roots. It gets covered in it and if you roots are cover and the plant can't get food! So your plant will die. But I only did this in hyrdo or DWC. So for you hyro users it's a bad idea but I'm not sure for dirt growers. Any input on using molasses in dirt would be great!!

Big article here in 420 on molasses; just type in "molasses" after search. Long article explains how it works, where to buy it, etc.
But I am looking for a different answer: does molasses darken white pistil tips, thereby giving a false reading of "amber" or "Brown" trichomes, and thus, a premature harvest?
Under magnification, I noticed NO amber, and either clear or very dark hair tips. Anyone know if this is normal trichome maturation, or molasses coloring?
