My first try at Cloning.

Today I bought cloning gel and a heated germination setup so that I can attempt to clone from my 1st. grow. I have cloned 2 today and will wait a few days to see if I did it right.

A friend of mine who also grows looked at my 2nd grow plant and told me he thinks it's a male plant. Currently I am in day 5 of sexing the plant and from all indicators that I have observed the jury is still out on what sex it is. None the less it has worried me and triggered me into attempting to clone since I only have 6 seeds left to work with.

I have posted a few pics dated Nov. 20th showing my progress so far.

The Hydroponics store I bought the supplies from today was really neat and I had a chance to see growing supplies, lighting, grow room setups and tents that I have never seen in person before. The girl who waited on me gave me a live demonstration on the proper techniques of cloning which was a great benefit. I think I will be making several trips back to that store for supplies in the future.

Here was my first try at cloning. It was a modified set up that Munki is using. I used pearlite and set my cups in about 1 inch of plain tap water. I used flouros to keep them going but I think next time around, I will just set them in a well lit indirect lit window. You'll have to give it at least 5 to 10 days before you see any roots. Good luck on the clones and here is a link to my photos showing my poor mans cloning set up.
