Grow No:2 Random & AK-47 Auto (start later)
last one failed i think due to lack of ventilation, heat and to much ph down…

SET UP/ EQUIPMENT
1x grow tent 120x60x160
1x HSP 400W Light (added blue spectrum)/ with Ballist 400w with and extra- 420w overdrive (will use 2wks out)
1x small pot (seedling etc)
1x large 300mm wide pot (final resting place)
1x power timer
1x extension cord
1x power board
- - - - 1x ph stick
-- 1x moisture meter-
5m of rope
1x oscillating fan (fresh air)
1x vent fan (hot air extraction)- - -
FEED:- bought online through 420- flower power pack (starter,grow,bloom,boost,foliar etc)
-weeks are a guide some might go longer or shorter.
wee 1: -water
week 2: water
week 3: water
week 4(1st wk bloom): <1gram go bloomn& 0.4gram foiler to 2litres water, PH'd 6.2.
week 5: <1gram bloom, .5grams foiler to 2ltr of water p6.2
week 6: 1gram bloom to 2ltr water ph 6.2
week 7: 1 gram bloom to 2ltrs water ph 6.2
week 8: 1 gram bloom, 0.2gr booster to 2ltr of water ph 6.2
week 9: 1gram bloom, 0.2gr boost to 2ltr of water ph 6.2
START:-
Still waiting on my AK auto's to arrive, -kinda works out in a sense lets me plant one after this baby gets to about 4wks old or after transplanting this-random one to its final pot. this keeps me with a harvest every month. I’m predicting roughly around 3-5 ounces every cycle. though 2oz is- a good start……..

- - - - Day1 -started germinating this little random sucker as my will to wait for my Ak-47 autos to arrive was dead.
i started this heaps early after new years at around 1am, i used the paper towel/ plate trick,-

checked up on the little fella and found she grew a leg (tap root), the root looked long enough to transplant into my grow mix.
i sped up the germ process by placing the little sucker onto of the coffee machines warming plate for like 20mins and stored in the pantry.
SOIL MIX
I am using my own mix for the grow medium that contains general all purpose potting soil, perlite and some coco coir.
i placed a thin layer of perlite at the bottom of the pot to help drainage and air flow. After that i mixed %50 soil, with %30 Coco and %20 perlite
though this was all guesstimates roughly….( just a thought, a little more perlite at seedling. As seedlings need a lot of air and better drainage to excel)
I transplanted the seedling using tweezers and positioned her tap root down in a finger hole barley 1in deep, i lightly covered the hole and watered with bottled water with a ph 6-till i got a reading of Moister meter of around 7-8 ( after drainage meter lowers to around 5-6)
*will use bottled water till i atlas run out!!!
I then placed her straight into the grow tent -under HSP (don’t worry has an added blues spectrum for autos) @200W with a light cycle of 18/6
checked in on her around 7pm just to check, the heat felt minimal but only threw my arm in at the pot level. haven’t had a real good look, don’t really need to-

check up, -open the tent and felt minimal heat, around low 30C. - Although it was early and not sure if timer just switched on -shouldn’t really turn off-till around 10am ( new timer still working out bugs)
- - - - - - - -moisture meter was reading 4 around 5inches in, dropped to red zone closer to top soil ( could possibly wait a little longer re water). i gave he a little -drink-
just moistener her up to a reading of 5.5 -5in deep.
should start thinking/setting up air flow!!!! was thinking stick oscillating fan on lowest setting should rustle a few leaves!!
- - - - - - - also hot air extraction, need 100m piping to fit through gates

- -just added a fan to the mix, although the temp seemed warm but not overly hot. (forgot to check themom)
placed fan so as air blows against the sidewall of tent to prevent blowing directly on seedling when she pokes through. don’t want the little- sucker--falling over AGAIN!!!! ( last grow drooped over)

7:30-8pm-
came home to see the girl had broken the soil, but also grew about 1in high.moisture-was in the red about 2in deep 3.5, deepest at 4.5, topped up-with-water to moister reading of 5.5-6 ( green !).
-temp was 31*C
moved fan further to the other side of tent, with the fan just barely blowing on her, mind you still no hot air extraction and good reasonable- tent, maybe the poor quality might be letting heat seep through since its not very light tight.
check again same time!!!!!
*so far so good, she has already out grown #1 buy atlas 3-4 days.
seedling leaves (cotyledon) have already folded back, and the first razors starting to spring up an outward. leaves are nice and green, on - - - - - - - - - --the paler side though.

today she has grown another 2in, though she looks like she is stretching for light so turned up HSP to 400W.
temp was 30*degrees, possibly higher now its 400w
moisture meter read at 1in deep 3, 3-4 in deep was around 5, topped up water to a reading of 7 3in deep.
*she is well advanced then last grow, though still seems to search for light, very thin & long. Although seed leaves are almost gone and the razor gang- are on the move
- Might lower light to half the distance…….

she is very stretched this morning, looks like a giant knocked over S. the first razor leaves have quadrupled in size from a pinky finger nail to the size- of half my thumb. looks really green good saturation of colour.
Lowered the light to half the distance, and left it on all day instead of 18/6.-
moisture was at around 2 lowest ever. topped up to a reading of 5/5.5
If she grew tall i would say she would reach 5inches, stem looks thin hopefully will fatten up now light is lowered.

- -today she looks pretty much the same a little less bendy but still quite stretched.
top up with water as she was pretty dry around 1.2-2 moisture reading, topped up to 6-7. water was ph’d to just under 6 say 5.8
the temp was in the mid to high 30’s ( guessing 38 or 39) as the light was on 24hrs last night/ today, switched backed to 18/6 as of 2pm today.
ps. my ak autos arrived today, might give them -week or two before i give-
them a go, keep my cycle going...

after a little research and some youtube vids later, i have decided to lower the HSP to 300w to control tent temps. I’m sure at this early stage 300w-should be sufficient enough to lower temps to optimum range around 25-30, highest of around 32 degrees and lowest around 22 degrees.
Also inserted a pen and used rolled up tin foil to help keep the stem up right.-
Added drip tray and filled with bottled water this will add humidity and extra moisture.

-no noticeable change at all, still seems long but strong enough to stand- just!!!. all leaves look nice and green, fingers crossed it the calm before- the bloom….
also added another level of high ( brick) distance between light now just- over 1Ft, pumping 300w
added somewhat of of an exhaust set up. sat my tube fan which is just- to big for the outlet opening, and open the pull string tubing open just a- little this should pull something out of the tent. the temps are still around- 35C.
top soil still feels damp so I’m just going to leave it ( ill be gone for two- days), just added some water to the catch tray mainly for -air moisture.
can’t wait for this thing to blossom and continue for grow.

Noticeably bigger has grown another two set of razor leaves, still looks thin and stretchy, might be the strain never know…
she was pretty dry so topped up with water, i sense i might have been over watering a little or premature at the start.
now the heat wave has gone for now the temps are back below 34C, I’ve fixed my extraction fan so tempts should stay solid around high 20’s and low 30’s,-
i add a tiny sprinkle of shirleys No:17 which has a NPK ratio of 9.4.6, lets see how this goes

Finally got set up an intake out take air system, got a small 100mm fan for the intake, and got some fan i pulled apart for extraction.
tempts are now around 24C when the lights are off, and around mid to low 30’s when lights are full. started pumping out 400w at the girl now.
she didn’t really need a watering but she was light and kinda felt dry, my feed is now 2ml of my notes into 2L or water for this week. next weeks-
i will pump to 3ml. ph’d water to around 6.0 - 6.2… humidity around 50%

finally checked in again. Its been just over 3weeks since I planted my random auto, my 420 bought AK auto was germated on Saturday ( so been just under a week old)
Random;
Looking good showing signs of to much nutes or to much light maybe both…
Gave her a flush of bottled phd water, raised the light to just over 2’ as light was my main concern
I gave her a feed of nutes 2ml to around 1.8 lt of water PH”d to 6.2, some say that was ok some say to much so flushed her anyway and diluted the already mix nutes with another litre of water.
Other than that she looks nice and green and growing good nodes and starting to push stems at node sites.

Only day 6 of seedling, but looking good, had the shell of the seed constrict the sprout so let popped it of with my fingers….. and popped her straight into the grow tent

still growing strong and newer leaves are green and healthy
