my 1st grow

I started my 1st grow 3 months ago, i think i did everything you could do wrong in a grow,bought regular seeds(ended up with 4 males, 1 female, except the 2 dirt weed plants my brother put in my tent,so i have 1 seni kush plant budding with the 2 dirt weed plants) over watered over fert, i am starting 2 top 44 plants have 8 topp 44 seeds left and 10 pinapple kush seeds left, have ordered 60 fem seeds, don't want to waste 3 months and all that time again, maybe i will throw them in th flower bed in the spring,so i am waiting for my white widow seeds to show, i am growing the top 44,the fine people @ sierra science sent me a free sample of there 604A veg root grow struff that i will use on my 2nd grow, hope this works better, i was told by the seed company that to much blue light causes males after the fact, was told by other people on here that the red light causes males, so i am confused, i grow with a 180 watt cree pro grow light, with (2) 6500 k cfl's to add more light during veg and 2700 k during flower, i was on the 18/6 on veg and 12/12 for flower, wish me luck, ) any input would be great Thx, Tony
