I have set up the cabinet in my utility room lined the walls with foil and installed the test lights. I placed 13 seeds in wet paper towels and on the second day 5 had grown tails, the other 8 are swollen with juice and I'm hoping they will sprout tails in the next day or two. I am using loam that I gathered from a forested area, I then pasteurized the soil by heating it in my oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit to kill any bacteria present. I am a firm believer that some worms should be present in the soil to aid in aeration and help prevent the soil from compacting so I always pick the worms out of the soil and replace them after the soil has cooled to the touch.
